Is there a way, either via custom-functions.php code, or a setting, or a add-on, whereby I can disable the package title link to the package Post. I would like users to download the package directly from the Call-To-Action button as well as the Package Title.
Is this possible?

Hi @Robertwikholm,
You can update files from the file list of any package from the attached file list.
You will just remove the old file from there then reupload the newer and keep the file name same. In this way you can add newer version number there.
If you want to show only directory url, then either you have to add files by using SELECT FILES FROM SERVER or SELECT FROM MEDIA LIBRARY.
Also you can use the below shortcode to make direct download links for any packages.
[wpdm_direct_link] – Embed direct download link as a simple text link

Hi there,
I have updated the plugin to the latest free version(kept the old version as backup zip file in the plugin directory) and it seems all downloads are present. Here’s the reference screenshot.
However, your subscription is over that’s why the download plugin button is not present in the dashboard link I have shared before.

Unfortunately I’m working on a private development site so I won’t be able to send you the link for issue one (re: permission-denied txt file). I was wondering if this may be an issue you have encountered before and if so – you’d be able to help out without a link anyways.
Just to provide some extra detail, the txt file is titled “permission-denied” and contains the following error message:
You don’t have permission to download this file

Thnx for your quick response. In parallel I found out that using [WPDM_..] shortcode at the action buttons caused the problem. After replacing the shortcode by a copy of the download link, the downloads are executed properly.

I tried today the link and it looks like it expired but after more than 1 minute. One more question I have is how do we change the page that says: -Invalid download link-
I want to be able to set different download text for different single file package, not a total change to all download button.
The same way this Direct download link work

Or if there is a CSS class I need to add to the direct link as a simple text link to make it a button, I will appreciate.

First of all please make sure that you are also using the latest version of the WPDM Directory add-on which is right now 4.3.3.
Apart from that please find and use the correct shortcode with exact valid parameters from the below documentation link.

I am facing issues with redirecting from the login page. I have added a new login page with shortcode [wpdm_login_form logo="Logo Link" redirect="Download page" ]. But after login, the page is not redirecting automatically. It displays the page with login details (profile photo, Logout link, and my account link)
My requirement is simple, customers reach to the login page, log in and automatically get redirected to the download page, with an option to log out.
if the role-based redirect can be done for e.g. for an administrator to the WP main dashboard, and for subscribers to download page, it would be even better.
