Registered users on the website will be able create a post/page from a template where they can upload thumbnail image, input text and provide a download link for the file. This would be one unit/block in the download page

I see. That would significantly increase the size of our site given the number of files and the size of the files.
Can you explain why it behaves differently if the package is downloaded from the file cart instead of being sent by email from the file cart?
Can you explain why it behaves differently if the package is emailed from the admin panel package instead of being sent by email from the file cart?
It seems to me that the creation of the link when sending the email from the file cart is faulty – that it is grabbing different information than is being grabbed when the package is sent other ways.

However, the table I’m getting is not sortable nor searchable. Could you please advise where I may need to change the shortcode to have the table with a search bar and sorting options?

Is there a different permission that needs to be applied to our UPLOAD folder in order for the emailed link from the site to work? Here is what I’ve found:
- If the file is uploaded instead of selected from the Media Gallery, the file is able to be downloaded via the emailed link.
Uploading all the files is unacceptable because we are sharing the same files with users in multiple ways. The other plug-ins are already consuming the files from the media gallery.
- If the admin sends an email link for a package from the Download Manager UI (e.g. clicks on the paper airplane), the recipient of the email is able to successfully download the files that were selected from the Media Gallery.
The link created for the package is somewhat different from the link created by File Cart, but there should be a relationship and this could hold the key to fixing the issue with the File Cart email of files that were added to a package via the selection from the Media Gallery.
- The document link for the item in the package behaves differently depending on whether the file was uploaded or selected from the Media Gallery.
If the file was uploaded, using the document link results in a download. If the file was selected from the media gallery, the document link results in the file being displayed in the browser.

I have used Download Manager to generate code like this example:

I reverted back to 3.1.1. (There are more problems with Archive pages (category and sort order are ignored) which I will address in a different post)
Hello, the plugin version is 1.2.6, which is according to the information from the provider of the latest version. The plugin does not even report that there is a newer version. I do not assume that this problem is in the older version. Please write me what the code should look like, which after clicking on the link or button will display the PDF in a pop-up window, as you state on your page. I tried the code:

Apologies if this doubles up — I swear I posted this already but can’t see the post anywhere on the forum.
I’m looking to use Download Manager Pro to display my downloads in two ways. One in a table (sorted with another plugin), and one as a thumbnail, title, description and download button — set up as a template.
I am using Pods for the description, as I need my Description field for a link text, but I can’t find a way to display the custom fields in my template.
Please advise if this is possible using Pods.

I am starting to get very frustrated with WP Download Manager.
I have tried updating the plugin. First, the update process fails again until you manually go into the settings – license menu and press save there. Why is this still necessary? My license code is already there and it is and has been correct. Other user have already pointed this out. It is a real problem: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/update-issue-continue/
Then again, my templates have been “reset” (for lack of a better word), the “link-template-default-old” template has yet again changed to a look that I do not want (feel free to check https://gymnasium-brake.info/schule-in-corona-zeiten-alle-informationen-im-schuljahr-2020-2021/#69d8b1c354be80dc8)
Why is this happening over and over again ? It is just annoying and a waste of time. Do I have to do this with every update of the plugin from now on?
Please can you solve this otherwise I have to look at other options.

1 would be the /resources page – as this is the master page for all resources where the download link does not work
2 would be in the WordPress backend whenever you try to upload a new package

I’ve installed the File Cart add-on. My packages are public. The email that is sent (using SendGrid) has the download link, but instead of downloading the package, I get “something-wrong.txt”. I’ve tried changing email templates, file browser root, and more. What am I missing?
Topic: Issues since server move
My company just moved from one server to a faster, new server with updated capabilities. The download manager and plugins are not working as they should be. On pages with WPDM_all_packages, the download link does not work. We very often have 404 errors when adding packages. Other times we upload a file and it just loads and loads and loads.
I have tried disabling all of the plugins except for download manager. I have updated all plugins. I have updated the themes. I have reinstalled both Download Manager and WordPress. I have reset the permalink. None of this has resolved the issue.
Also, when I look at the add-ons page (and several others), they are no longer nicely formatted as they once were. They are now more of a generic text list of the plugins, bot the designed and boxed packages.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I want to insert a section of filters above the table, just like in this example: https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/gutenberg-table-builder/
I also tried to use the Gutenberg Table Builder plugin, with the All Downloads Table component but now my documents are not displayed.
Please help me with some hints how i could add those filters.
