I think you are talking about the ajax feature that means it will show the result as soon as the typing finished. I am sorry it is not supported with this shortcode. You have to press the enter button to search with this shortcode. However, for ajax search what you want, You have to use the below addon,

To enable to preview feature of pdf, you have to use the below addon with wpdm.

And then you can remove the download button by editing link template or page template so only preview will be available.

The notify subscriber checkbox is in the backend for every package in default admin area. if other members use the wp-admin to create package, they will be able to use the notify subscriber checkbox. but not found it in the wpdm_frontend dashboard.
