I mean if it works with the shortode that lists all the downloads using the “wpdm-all-downloads.php” template. I can see the line 318 in this template:
case 'audio_player':
$data['files'] = \WPDM\Package::getFiles($data['ID']);.......
......
so i guess it should work.
But i don`t know how is this template deciding which download is an audio so it can add the preview player.
Is there something i should add to all the audio downloads ?
For the Bulk import option, you can export a CSV file. But when import file, you have to follow the sample CSV file format. But you can do it manually also. I have made a video, how can you manually export and import downloads files or packages. you can also follow this for WPDM files export-import. And there your featured image will also be exported and imported correctly.
You can list all downloads in tabular format on a page with this shortcode. If your theme has featured image option then, it will show the image where it has been placed. Otherwise, you can choose a block before the shortcode for showing your image.

Hi!
I have uploaded a lot of files manually and all works well. Since I was about to upload several more I bought the Pro version, and used the Bulk Import feature. I got no error messages and all are marked as green and imported, but when trying to download these files they all showed a text file with “File not found or deleted from server”. I couldn’t find the uploaded files anywhere on the server, but WPDM claimed they were placed in a folder that did not exist. So, I created the folder and manually uploaded all the files again with FTP, and now all seems to work. I have put a lot of meta info on these files before I noticed this bug, and wanted to avoid that work again. Did I do something wrong when using the Bulk Import feature? Will there be a problem that the files now reside in a completely different folder on the server than all other downloads? Can and should I correct the physical location of these files, or just leave them where they are?
Regards Martin
The first thumbnail is coming from your theme and 2nd one is from wpdm page template ( Doc: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/page-templates/ ), as you know, you can create/edit custom page template from Admin Menu â–ş Downloads â–ş Templates â–ş Page Templates, you need to do the following to remove the 2nd thumbnail:
I have just migrated a website out of a multisite into its own single site. I have imported all the “Downloads” post type and they are all there. I have also copied all the files from the old site to the new, and the path to the files is correct. However, they are not showing up.
1) When I click on “Browse” to locate files, the tab is just blank.
2) When I go to a page with a package, I see a message saying “file not found or deleted”
My next post will contain login information so you can have a look around. Thanks in advance!
WP CLI is getting the version from wp.org and the free version number is actually lower than Pro version, so it is showing the “version higher than expected”.
The solution is using our plugin updater to install updated versions of Download Manager Pro. You can do that if you log in to your WPDM account from Downloads > Settings > Updates Tab. When a new version is available it shows notice in the plugins page. You can also subscribe to our blog to get notification of the plugin update report.
Hi there,
I bought yesterday the Pro Features plugin in order to be able to implement email-lock downloads on my website, I was initially enthusiastic with this plug, easy to use, but I see now that none of my email locked packages are working, they are downloading immediatly without asking email. Could you please help what could be wrong?
Thank you
Cheers
Françoise
I was running 5.0.3 and newest wordpress version I ran into trouble downloading certain files. WordPress was not reporting that 5.0.4. was available, so after reading on this forum that 5.0.4 was available I manually installed it. Downloads are working again.
wp-cli is still reporting same error messages as above.
But with no indication that a new version is available for download, staying up to date with the most current version is difficult.
Since the recent updates, our Custom Link templates have broken. We are using Default Values as well. We have the template setup so that clicking on the Button and the Title of the download should automatically download the file without showing the Download Page. This has now stopped working.
In the forum, I saw a message about the “Invalid Key for Download Manager Notifications” issue. I have the same problem.
Per the instructions, I just reinstalled the Download Manager plugin. On the installed plugins page, it shows version “3.0.5”. I assume that this is the current version “5.0.3”? Please advise.
On the Downloads Settings page, I do not see where to enter the license number that you provided above. The license selection box was visible on the plugin version 4.9.2 that I replaced. Please advise.
I have screenshots of these issues, but I do not see how to add them to this message
you will get specifically a User ID, Order ID, IP for the user, and in dashboard panel, downloads > history option you also get User/IP. and the file will be exported with the CSV file.
As administrator (or subscribed member) I get the following popup message when I click on a download link: ‘You don’t have permission to download this file’ and a downloaded txt file of the same name
I can however download documents in one of my categories but not any of the others. I’ve checked and compared settings and can’t work out why the is happening for all but one. My user access has all taxonomies ticked
after upgrading to version 5.0.3, some multiple downloads can no longer be downloaded. This does not apply to all of them. A logic, which works and which doesn’t, I can’t recognize.
What can I do here? Unfortunately I need your support here urgently.
I just updated to the latest version, and now instead of my download links triggering a download, they take me to a download page with the following error at the top:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in …/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.Apply.php on line 685
This doesn’t happen with all downloads, just some of them.
If you are changing the domain, unlock the key from the old domain. You can do that from your Purchases > Order Details page by clicking the “Generate Key” button.
If you are getting the error without moving the license to another domain then install the latest version to fix the issue. Follow these steps to update the plugin,
1 ) Deactivate and delete the old version. You won’t lose any data.
