I am making your requirement more elaborate, with this shortcode logged in user can see the all the packages created by him not assigned to him. And for your requirement you may trying from Downloads > All Packages
section there will be a dropdown where anyone login or the administrator can filter packages by Author. Please check and let me know.
Thank you and regards
I’d like you to be a little more elaborate on your reply please.
So in short, where we CREATE the packages and store them, there is no way to filter them by user to whom they are assigned.
So we have to create a page for admins, with a shortcode that they allows us to view ALL downloads assigned to each user? It’s not making sense to me.
If I post a login as a private reply can you setup the page on our site for me, so I can see what you mean? It’s basically a list of ALL Packages created and then a means to filter by user.
Simon
From the backend Downloads > All Packages
section the feature may not available, but you can use this shortcode, it will show in the Downloads section the packages created by the user, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_user_profile-public-profile-short-code. Can you please check it again and let me know?
Thank you and regards
Hello Simon,
Are you searching such option from Downloads > All Packages
section as I image attached for filtering packages by Author

please check and let me know.
Thank you and regards
I don’t mean in that page.
I mean when the admins go to the Packages page, they can’t filter on anything.
Downloads All Packages.
How do they go to this area, and filter by Users… or how do they do they anywhere else??
It’s a major flaw for them as that’s where they add them all, so how do they now go to that page, and filter by the user, to see if that users has all the downloads they need?
Simon
Unfortunately, search by tags feature is not available right now. If you want you can avail our Custom Upgrade Service
And also, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were looking to query all downloads from specified tag(s).

Now it’s clear to me. It’s because of auto download option.
In free version there is no option called Disable Auto Download.
Download Manager Pro offers the option to disable auto-downloads, here is the screenshot

Hi
We want to view all downloads assigned to a given user, so that we can filter them, and maybe edit them, or see if one download package is missing.
How do we do this please?
I don’t see it in the Packages > Downloads, a Filter by User.
hope you can help.
Simon
Visitors of the site are not able to download files via the download manager form. Neither am I or other admins. We are all greeted with a “permission denied .txt file for any file that we attempt to download or view.

I see in the URL Structure (first box on Downloads > Settings > General) allows the altering of the package and category URL base, but I would like to update the tags URL base. Is there a way to do that?
Hello, Jan
I hope this message finds you well and thanks for contacting us.
– If you delete all files from Asset Manager, it will also affect the files on server.
– Currently, you can use the short-code or share links to share assets with others.
– You can check this plugin Advance Access Control. This will help you to control user-specific access to your files and document downloads.

Hello cnmesoamerica,
Hope you are well. Your wp-admin credentials are not working. However, For the apostrophe issue with uploading file, can you please check the settings from Downloads > Settings > General > Upload Settings
as I image attached,

And for loading the category automatically please add the init=1
parameter to your shortcode, Thus I hope it will resolve the issue. please check and let me know.
Thank you and regards

Please contact me for support.
Thanks
Hello Rudi Samyn,
Hope you are well. And sorry for the inconvenience. Can you please elaborate on the package appears expired and I can’t update/download issue, are you talking about your site Downloads > All Packages
issue or your order issue here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases from your account. please check and let me know.
Thank you and regards
Hi Nayeem,
It is working logging in with the clients user but is not working when the client does it. Even if it is there browser what could be preventing it from being recorded?
How does the stats get recorded? What could stop it?
As there are multiple users that are not being recorded what could cause this?
If it was just user it would be OK but as this looks like it is quite a few members and the stats are important to see trends and also to ensure that downloads aren’t abused, it is really important that this is solved. So it would be good to know what external factors could stop the stats from being recorded and if anything can be done about it.
Thanks

Hi Nayeem,
Thank you for checking. All downloads require a membership – so anyone who is downloading will need to have logged in.
While when I checked it seemed to work, there does seem to be a problem (as stated in my clients email)
Could you advise how to troubleshoot this further?
Hello Anna Nguyen,
Hope you are well. Thanks for writing to us. Download Stats is working properly from our testing site. If possible, please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply to check the issue. And for updating the WPDM PRO plugin, Please simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License
, and then please update the plugin from the wp-admin > plugins
panel.
For saving settings again for the license key option from Downloads -> Settings -> License
, that will regenerate the access token. Thus the plugin will be updated, I hope that it will solve your issue.
If the problem persists then you can also manually update the plugin by downloading it from your purchase page, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases.
Please check and let me know, if you have any queries.
Thank you and regards
Hi,
I have had a message from my client saying not all downloads are being recorded.
Can you please urgently look at this – we identified it firstly with Matthew Haddon but there are definitely others including Lucy Wilcox who dowload lots of files but the website is showing nothing (in fact I would say that if a member is not showing any downloads then this is in correct; everyone of our members have definitely downloaded something), as without accurate stats data I am unable to see trends or abuse of the files which is really important for us.
Also when I tried to update the plugin I received the following error –
Update failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Looking forward to your response
I have a website that was built on WordPress and we used download manager to manage the downloads of documents on the website. But now we migrated our website to another hosting platform, but after this switch we can see all our packages but the documents in the packages are no longer downloadable. We are getting an error “saying file not found”. How can this be resolved as we need those documents

Hello Rudi Samyn,
Sorry for the delay. For your issue of no subcategories menu in the sidebar, please adjust the access option from the edit category as I image attached, and for the no downloads issue, please add init=1
in your shortcode parameter,

Thus, I hope all of your issues will be resolved. BTW, I have also adjusted for this from some of your categories and the outreach page. please check and let me know.
Thank you and regards
