Currently it is part of feature that if any download is restrict to registered user role, then it is only viewable after login.
So you have to make it allow access to all visitor to show it. Or visitor must need to login to see those.

I have already checked download limit is working properly with the latest version of download limit addon.
So there could be any other issue.
If you have confusions, you can check it manually by yourself. Clicking on download button will count as a download. I think somehow they are clicking on it that is the reason it is being counted.

Currently you can not replace that with revision number. You can just modify template to remove the dates.
Also we don’t have any template tag for revision number. So you are also not able to show that using link template.

You have to set the limits in this way that it doesn’t exceed your required limits if user has multiple roles.

In the shortcod, at front-end, you may not need all the details options, in such case, you may use this parameter to hide sections/meta boxes you don’t need. You can hide settings, images, categories, and tags sections.
Also it is possible to display what category the package belongs to. You can use [categories] template tag in page or link template.

I tested in demo and in my dev site, it is working properly. Please make sure you are using the latest version of wpdm pro that is 6.3.5.
If issue persists, There could be some conflict issues in your site. In this case, I would suggest running a conflict test. You need to run a basic WordPress conflict test on your site to detect what actually causes the problem. To troubleshoot the issue, please deactivate other plugins except for WPDM. Then check if the issue still persists. If that solves your problem, activate the plugins one by one, and continue checking the issue. In this way, you will be able to detect which one causes the problem. If it doesn’t solve, you can check conflict with theme too.

However, we have an alternative free plugin with the functions of woocommerce that will work with wpdm for enabling ecommerce feature

We have wpdm dropbox addon that is free.
It uses dropbox link to create the download link in your site. FIle kept in dropbox.
So there is no way to access the file from your website. You need to arrange files from your dropbox account.

DropZone allows site users to share files with site admin in a easy way. It is a new option/feature with WordPress Download Manager Pro v6.1.8+. Use shortcode [wpdm_dropzone] to add this option on your site.
You can check the files from Downloads > Dropzone menu
You can configure it from below settings
If users upload from dropzone page, then you will be able to check those from backend from the dropzone menu.
I have explained all. There is no other features in wpdm pro that is related to dropzone.
