The download is not working because download page was customized in the active theme improperly. If theme is changed, then it is working properly.

I suggested that plugin according to your initial requirement that you want to integrate a redirect URL to a thank you page after download.
So I suggested the plugin when user clicks on the download then it will redirect to thank you page.Here there is no way to add redirect link. you can set thank you page then in that page you may add any link that could be visited by user.

Currently sub categories will not supported in import.
To resolve the issue, I would suggest to import all the categories. Then manually convert categories into subcategories those are needed. In this way there will be also the sub categories available.

I have understood your concern.
Actually an administrator of wordpress site has all the power to control the site in all way.
That is the reason WPDM root access is available to administrator. We haven’t configured our plugin for super admin specifically. Super admin is only available for multi site.
If you need any specific service for super admin you can contact here for customization of plugin.
