I need a registration page to select either you are an author or a publisher.

With the WPDM Pro Membership add-on you can set a registration page other either author or publisher.

WordPress Pro Membership

So when he adds a new book i don’t want him to write his name again in the publisher with his details i want them to be imported automatically.

Are you adding the books through Front-end Uploader UI / Author Dashboard?

So that i can show all his books i just want like a database of authors and publishers can we do that ?

By using [wpdm_packages] shortcode you can show books based on authors/publisher.

However, about your initial query, we might need to debug the issue appropriately.

If you are worried about sharing the credentials of your live website, could you please create a staging site with identical settings and share the credentials for that. This way we can debug things in the exact same environment as your live site.

There is no such shortcode to achieve the new tab functionality.

Also, you can’t put a shortcode inside a CSS.

Apart from that, Please ensure that you have enabled the Open in Browser option in the WPDM settings section, which should resolve the issue.

You don’t need to upload the plugin via FTP, just install it like a regular plugin and overwrite the previous one.
