Well, since on the installation manual section there was no file attached that’s why it was not showing any file-related information.
But when you will attach a file then it will show like this.
However, if you want to remove the file count and file size like this then you have customized the template by following the below links.
About the upload issue, you can follow the below link.
Also, I am not clear about this The link you shared, prior to this issue the download would open when you click on the product page and take you there. Not to the second page.
Please share a related video or link or any screenshot that will help me to resolve the issue quickly.

Maybe you haven’t inserted any file that’s why it was showing download not available
.
Also, the error is not showing as well.

Terms and condition lock doesn’t have anything to do with the cart page, it is only for free downloads, items without price. However, you can activate the Terms and the condition check box on the cart/checkout page by following the doc here:

First fo all make sure that your wordpress environment supports the valid upload limit. You can follow this in order to set the upload limit.
However, there may be a conflict with another plugin, can you please enable/disable other plugins for checking, you may also switch the theme to another for checking.

However, you can use the below add-on in order to set that custom template as the default value whenever a customer will create/upload a new package.

Yes, you can update the plugin without losing the custom code if you follow my screencast properly. Because as you can see in my screencast that I have changed the code by copying files from the plugin directory to the theme directory. So there is no chance to lose the custom code.
