I had the same issue with download links not working after updating (Safari) to latest version today. Did a couple of hard cache resets, the links worked again. No other settings were touched.
Thanks. I’ve not disabled the caching plugin completely yet.
But I have tried in a different browser and on a different PC altogether. With download links masked, the download button doesn’t work.
Hello @cestrian77, did you try disabling the cache plugin or from another browser? From my pc, I see js code updated and masked download link will work fine.
The download button is also not working for me… and I’ve installed all available updates.
The recommendation to “Unmask Download Link” works insofar as the download button now connects to the file, but making all site downloads indexable isn’t a great solution for us.
Are the updates supposed to have fixed this issue?
Question – could site-based caching be impacting at all? We use WP Fastest Cache.
Thanks

please give the related page/package URL for checking. I think it is maybe coming from your site. because WPDM doesn’t provide spam link when downloading links
Hi,
I’m getting a lot of errors in my log file which is linked to WPDM. I’m getting this line repeated in the log file:
[08-Jul-2020 08:19:28 UTC] PHP Warning: array_merge(): Expected parameter 1 to be an array, null given in /home/techygee/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.Apply.php on line 863
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks.
Hi, I was notified by users that they are receiving referrals to a spam link when downloading links on my site. I repurchased and downloaded updated versions of the plugin but the error is still occurring.
Hi,
Where are you trying [download_link_extended]
template tag in the link or page template? does the button showing nothing or not working at all. please give your package or page URL. if possible, Please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.
Thanks.
I’ve watched several of your YOUTUBE videos and nothing that is listed there is accurate when I apply steps to my download. Here are my issues:
1) I customized the color of the download button and it’s not changing. It remains green.
2) I’ve followed all instructions, but once I test and press submit, I only get a thank you with no further download.
3) When I visit the Lock Options in Package Settings, I do not see anyplace to add a Title as referenced in your YOUTUBE video AND I do not see a link of instructions for “After Submitting Form” as referenced in YOUTUBE – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYM2fN-LVJ0&t=75s
Help!
Hi there,
We’ve deleted the plugin and uploaded the new version we downloaded via the link you sent in your message. After we uploaded the file, it instructed us to update it to the latest version – after updating it, the plugin disappeared again.
Please advise on how to proceed.
Thanks,
Chris

Greetings. My WPDM Pro subscription expired in May, 2020. In June, I attempted to renew, following the link from within the WordPress plugin list. This did not work, so I sent email to the WPDM company.
WPDM responded, “Please purchase a new copy from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/pricing/ There is an issue withe manual renew procedure.”
I followed those instruction on July 4, ordering a new subscription and downloading 5.1.1. I deactivated and uninstalled 5.0.5, used the “Add New” button in WordPress to upload and install the 5.1.1. Zip file, and activated 5.1.1. I then found and entered the new license key into the appropriate settings field.
After doing so, all of the download links on my site stopped working. When I click on one, the only thing that happens is a page refresh.
Please advise how to resolve these issues.

Which option has been set in your access settings as I image attached?
https://prnt.sc/tc6xuh
if you Only Block Download Link it will block only download link otherwise if you select Hide Everything, it will hide package title and info too.
Thanks.
Wordpress plugin indicates that there is version 5.1.15 but when i go to my downloads page to download, it shows version 5.1.1
See screenshot. Please update and i would appreciate if you notify me when its done.

Hello,
after the one of the last updates of wpdm the link button of the download table ist not working anymore.
I’m using this on my page:
[wpdm_all_packages items_per_page="25" jstable=1 order_by="title" order="ASC" cols="page_link|categories|post_content|publish_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|Schlagworte|Datum|Download"]
Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Regards
Harry
For the frontend, you can easily edit it from
download-manager\tpls\wpdm-add-new-file-front.php
file and the text as your own requirements.
you can follow the link below documentation,
Template Files
As documentation, you have to copy the file in the theme directory naming a folder called download-manager, then paste it in the folder naming wpdm-add-new-file-front.php
and edit the text as your requirements. let me know. if it helps you.
Thanks.
Hi,
It can be happened restricting role access from the package settings Allow Access
option. and also can be due to the js cache. Please try clearing the cache. Alternatively, in the latest update 3.1.02, we have added an option to unmask the download link, that option will resolve the issue regardless of the js cache.
Thank you very much! I will wait for the update and recheck all the download links. I hope it will solve the problem permanently. Thank you again.
