Hello, Is there anyway to sort downloads using the tree view short code? I would like to have them sorted alphabetically. Thanks!
When I open a package to view the files, I have it set to allow single file downloads. I would like to disable the download link to download the entire package and just allow one download at a time. Is this possible?
Thank you.
Hi there,
Great plugin but I’ve had a play around and need some assistance with achieving what I need to do.
Do I need to integrate a membership plugin with this (and if so what do you recommend), or can I use the built in WordPress user roles for this?
How are the download pages built? I am using a theme with the Visual Composer plugin.
Thanks in advance for your help, and let me know if you need any clarification in order to respond.
Hi,
Download count seems very abnormally high for certain downloads. I have received certain downloads moving from 0 downloads to 24000 downloads in a span of two days and others moving from 14000 to as high as almost 100000 in a span of 4 days as seen here; http://unhabitat.org/books/international-guidelines-on-urban-and-territorial-planning/
Almost those downloads come from our own IP which does not make sense and has even made our IP to be blocked from accessing the back-end of our website due to high traffic requests.
Could you kindly advice what is no right?
We are using version 4.3.0 of the download manager.
Any quick assistance would highly be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Erick
I have a PDF file designated to a specific user using Download Manager Pro and Custom Access Level.
On my website, when someone clicks a link to a PDF, it typically opens up as a new web page. However, when they click a link to the protected PDF, it downloads instead of open.
Is it possible to change this behavior?
Thanks
Hi guys,
I notice that all the downloads subscribe to the same mailchimp list.
Is there anyway to send the package name or ID to mailchimp (perhaps as a seperate field)?
This would allow me to setup email automation based on what was downloaded.
(Instead of generic automation rules, which it gets limited to without any package information).
Cheers,
Kameel
I saw that the old version 4.1.3 had the ability to have a thumbnail generated from a PDF in the link template using [pdf_thumb_WxH]
http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/wordpress-download-manager-pro-v4-1-3-released
This feature does not appear in my current version 4.3.0. I need this as all of my downloads are PDF’s. How can we use this feature?
I am currently inserting a JPG in the body area as a thumbnail, but also need it in the link template – can we link to this?
Thanks
None of my PDFs are being delivered! Here is an example as to what bounces back to me:

Hi,
Just recently I had an interesting error with publishing packages.
It would let me create the post, and attach the package… but when I clicked publish it re-directs to the /wp-admin/post.php page instead of publishing.
Then it adds the post to the downloads list but when you clicked Download it downloads a text file called download-not-available.txt
It did that when the post and file name was:
Rodney Grove Centre Timetable 21st September – 3rd October 2015
… but when i changed the post and file name to:
Rodney Grove Timetable 21st Sep – 3rd Oct 2015
… it worked just fine. Is there a new character limit on post and file names?
In the past I have successfully published a file with the name:
Rodney Grove Community Aquatic Centre time table. 13th July – 18th September 2015
… which is much longer.
It’s a head scratcher for sure, any light you can shed on this would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance,
Rylie
