Hello!
I currently use Member Mouse for my site’s membership.
I have two membership levels (standard & premium).
The difference for the two levels of membership are the files they are able to download.
For example, the standard membership would allow all members to download social media graphics in the JPG format. I have all of this set up and created downloads for all of those.
However, the premium membership, I want to add an additional download option as a Photoshop file for each graphic.
What’s the easiest way to do this? I would prefer to just add an “download option” to each file for that specific membership if that is possible.
You can get the download link from All Downloads page and attach it with inline words. Each package has a Generate Download Link button. Retrieve the master download link from there.

Thanks.
Another element, which might help or not : I just tried creating another package, using the ‘explorer’ functionnality to use the same document as one of the package that works – and it works : it’s the package called ‘Encore un essai’. This one displays.
I would thing it has something to do with the database, and an eventual corruption, but the downloads all work on the original wabsite…
One last thing : everything was working fine as of last Thursday. The only modifications after that were the addition of two plugins (Instagram Gallery, WonderPlugin Carousel) and a couple of css changes. I’ve already tried to deactivate the two plugins, to no avail.
I really do not know where to look, or what to test…
Hello,
I have a very weird issue, and I cannot find where the problem is. Here it goes : I have build a website for clients with documents. Until today (as far as I can tell), everything was dandy. But, suddenly (I’m not too sure of when it happened), I cannot see the individual packages, except for four of them.
And for these ones, everything works : the custom templates, etc, etc. They are all in the same category, and are all pdfs.
But other documents, also pdfs, and simple pictures (png), heavier and lighter in weight, just give out a blank page… And Wp Debug doesn’t say anything. The packages have exactly the same configuration in terms of templates, who can see them, etc.
Even weirder, I can download everything fine with the link templates… It’s only when I want to see the single package page that… nothing happens.
And as far as I can tell, nothing I’ve done justify such a change.
I’ve also tried adding new packages : I cannot see anything, event though the link template work perfectly (downloads also), whatever category I try to put them in.
It’s so weird that the only way I think for you to realize what happens it to go take a look… Could you please ? I’m at my wit’s end. I’ll give you the info in private.
Cheers,
You can use directory add-on to show all your downloads with search and filter option.
Here is the demo https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page-default/
You can create four different roles for 4 years. And assign a role to the student based on the year. You use either category or package access settings. But using the package setting makes more sense. When creating the package just assign the roles.
Hi Peter,
Connection to the internet is required to verify the key. However, as your setup doesn’t allow it you need to install a pre-verified copy of Downloads Manager.
Please create a new ticket so I can send you a verified copy.
Thanks.
Hi,
Before the CSV import upload all files to S3 bucket and point the S3 URL of the file under files column in CSV. If you attach a sample S3 file manually form edit package screen you will get the URL which you can use to get URL of all other files.
WPDM does not copy files to your own server. All downloads are served by S3.
I have attached a sample CSV, hope this helps you to understand the process.

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Here are the steps to upgrade to Pro,
1 ) Deactivate and delete the free version. You won’t lose any data/downloads
2 ) Download Pro version here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3 ) Install and activate Pro
Thanks.

Hi Shahriar,
for now we can’t check anything else.
The test-installation you had access to is now not available anymore (as it got cloned again).
What we did now: we added the files again manually for all 288 downloads on the new plattform on the new server.
Then we cloned from there to the plattform you had for testing.
Interresting part: we didn’t encout any problems there.
So for now it’s okay and so far “resolved”. No more action is needed.
We’re still not sure, where the problem was. We used the guide provided by wpdm for cloning and did exactly these steps with exactly the software that was outlined (as we use this software for cloning anyway). we also tested it several times.
As soon as we tried the import on the new server: downloads gone.
When we tried on another computer in a local installation: everything correct.
No idea, how these data could have gone away.
One last idea we had and we fixed that by hand: there are serveral files that may have a too long file name and used special characters like ” ‘ ” or “umlaute” (in German) like äöü. As far as I was aware, WPDM recognize them and change the filename to an appropriate file name.
With 2 people and 8 hours of work we were able to get all the files back up and runnung and the last clone was now also in order.
Thanks anyway.
Christoph
Hi,
You can use all packages [wpdm-all-packages jstable=0 items_per_page=10] shortcode to show all packages in a tabular format. This shortcode doesn’t support custom template.
Another option is the category shortcode ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_category-query-all-downloads-from-one-or-more-categories/ ). This one has custom template support.
But the best option is using Directory Add-on ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-directory-add-on/ ) which has search and filtering options.
Directory Add-on Demo: https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page-default/
Thanks.
I have tried to get an answer to this query for days now without success.
I use the Pro version of WPDM, I have created a large number of packages on my site, each containing a number of files. The individual files download ok but when users attempt to download the compressed Zip package, the downloaded file is empty. I cannot find any answers to how to correct this problem and it’s important for our customers to be able to do this. So can you please let me know what the solution is to this big problem.
I really do need to know the answer to this. If the Zip link isn’t supposed to work, then why is it there.
Hi,
Please send temporary wp-admin login info in private reply ( check the private reply button in the form below ). I will fix the warning issue in login and sign up form.
You can add a logo parameter in the login and sign up shortcode to fix the issue.
[wpdm_login_form simple=1 logo="https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2018/01/wpdm-icon-620.png"]
There are many ways to display your downloads. The simple one is all downloads table which shows all available downloads in a tabular format.
[wpdm_all_packages] – Documentation Link.
Install the TinyMCE Button add-on ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ ) to insert shortcodes easily.
Thanks.
Hi guys,
I have the same problem als outlined in this older thread by another user here: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/all-downloads-giving-download-not-available-txt/
And it’s also as Shariar told the user there: there are no files linked to that package.
BUT – and here comes the point – all dwonloads were linked to the respective files.
What we did is, we cloned the whole WP installation and put it to a new server (new IP, new Domain). Everything seemed fine, but not the downloads. All files where transported, but somehow WPDM just deleted(?!) all links between the package and the respective files.
What can we do? We need that clone as it will be a productive part of a banking website for a customer.
So we’d need quite urgend support on this one.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Christoph
Hi,
I have install the latest WPDM version 4.7.7 and it all works beautifully except for a big problem. My Zip downloads are all empty. If I download the packaged files individually, they are ok. So I know they are there and not empty. But when I download them the whole package as a Zip file, ther’s nothing tn there. Please let me know how to get around this. I really need this core facility.
Thanks
Good day,
I was hoping to have date and version information as well. I am surprised more people have not asked for it, as with it, it becomes a tool to be able to track compliance and updates of documents. I wish the stats were both directions or at least had the ability to be reversed for additions and revisions. The ultimate goal would be to have a stats or analytics on additions, revisions, removals, downloads, etc.
Part of the reason for picking this plugin was its extensibility, but what I did not realize when picking it was that it could not track the things I really needed. Is there any way to get this functionality, or am I out of luck?

Hiya,
On all of our download pages we have a email lock, e.g. https://www.excellgroup.com/downloads/excell-master-terms-conditions-v9-0-may-18-n6rn9j/.
This section is entitled “Subscribe to download” – how do I change the text to read something different? I’d like it to read “Enter your details to download”.
Thanks
Seb
Hello again
Regarding audio problem, it seems that all audio downloads have lost link to audio files…
If I click on Download, I get a text file “file not found”.
Why are the links broken (they were generated by bulk import).

Hi there
I have bought alot of different add-ons for wp download manager pro, and we are super excited about the project – which is almost done and ready to go live.
We are just hitting two small bumps:
1: when we have add’ed some files to the cart and then try to download it, it just downloads a text called something-wrong.txt with the text “file not found” inside out if.. and again if we try to send by email nothing happens
2: is it possible to remove the filename from [file_list] shortcode – i dont need the file names to be displayed. (an alternative could be to get the + button with out the rest of the shortcode)
Thank you in advanced – we are super pleased with your solution and will gladly recommend it to others!
How can I uninstall download manager without losing any of my files or data in the database?
The auto update feature doesn’t work correctly–the plugin disappears completely with the error “The plugin download-manager/download-manager.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.” This error has been true for quite a while. I’m currently running 4.7.2 and want to update to 4.7.7.
So I just want to do the update manually, but want to make sure I don’t lose any of the files or metadata for the existing downloads. If I deactivate the plugin and go to delete it, wordpress warns that the “plugin and files” will be removed, which is not desired.
How can I fix this problem?
Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Please deactivate and delete the previous installation of Download Manager. You won’t lose any data. Your downloads will still be there. After removing the old version install the latest one.
If you want me to install the latest version for you, please send temporary wp-admin login info in private reply.
Thanks.
