The files were sorted by upload time. Now I have added the below filter hook in your active theme functions.php file

add_filter('wpdm_package_files','filter_file_list');

        function filter_file_list($allfiles){
	
	sort($allfiles);
	return $allfiles;
	
        }

Now, I think it is sorting in an alpha-numerical way. please check and let me know
