According to doc, Keep dir structure, means, a file from /src/Packages/views/link-templates dir should go to /{active-theme}/download-manager/link-templates dir. And as you are using the free version of WPDM, you can use a link template like this, [wpdm_package id="package-id-here" template="link-template-id"].
