it may happen if CURL is not enabled or any other js conflict there. Please check CURL and deactivating other plugin.

looks like something with char encoding in your server, please send a temporary wp-admin login info and ftp access to /plugins/ dir to support@wpdownloadmanager.com

“/” will work in all environment, so “/” is a good practive

1) we have adjusted it next update for Yoast WordPress SEO, but if you are using custom functions there, you need to edit it from theme.
2) you need to edit the date format in wp settings page

yes, in 1.6.1 there are some change in css. for 2 rows you need to create new link template, but send a temporary wp-admin login info to support@wpdownloadmanager.com , we will do that for you
