Hello and thank you for this useful plugin.
I translated the whole .po file in Italian and put it into the “languages” folder of the plugin. Still, when I use the “all downloads” template (which is the only template I really need for my website) some of the terms are still showing in english.
How do I solve this? Is there a template file to be manually edited, in order to substitute these english words with the italian correspondent?
How do I remove all the pages that are created for downloads?
I just want one click download buttons + these extra unwanted pages 100% removed from my site.
Hello ..
I’m using the shortcode [wpdm-all-packages] to display all packages in a tabular format – but i’d like a column to display the file size.
Can anyone help? I know it may involve editing the wpdm-all-downloads.php file.
Many Thanks
Firstly, I am a novice in WP therefore the questions are quite basic.
1) Please advice how to configure the short-code for the templates. Not able to get them working
I am considering the following templates
eg http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/all-downloads/
http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page/
2) I am having issues installing free plugins

3) I would like to request Search feature to be included the support section so the search can be quicker.
Thank you.
Hello ..
Just purchased WPDM Pro – Started by adding a category and added a couple of downloads.
I’ve adding the following shortcode to a page to display all the packages from this category:
[wpdm_category id="salaah-timetables" order_field="id" order="desc" template="539c7846a41b5" title="0" toolbar="1"]
And get the output as shown in the attachment. I’d like to knwo how I can disable from displaying the title (The one in green) and to display all the downloads in a simple list format.
Can anyone help?
Thanks a lot
Shafiq
I have a client that wants to use this so that their employees can download weekly schedules, project schedules and employee manuals.
What I’d like to do is set it up so that anytime a weekly schedule is added, it sends an email to their employee list with a link to download. Is this possible in the Pro version or do I need to use WPDM Newsletter (which I already purchased) to do it?
If its possible, can you please guide me on how to set it up? Seems pretty simple.
Hi. When clicking a category, it lists all packages as blog. Is it possible to list all files in category as in widgets to the right?
Hi there, just purchased your pro product. I need to know how I can password protect an entire download area on the blog.
For instance I would like a particular category password protected with a single point of entry. Once the user has input the password, they would have access to everything in the directory. Is that possible?
I’ve attached a screen shot of the wordpress site: the category called “Media Hub” is in the secondary menu. Not a widget. When the user clicks on “Media Hub” I would like them to enter a password to have access to that area. Once in, they would ideally see a page with all the downloadable content. Also would I be able to track downloads with this method? Once they are in, can I track what they download? Thanks!
In setting up a client site, I am having some problems with the link templates.
First problem is that audio player is constantly spinning and does not seem to load the audio file.
Works fine on page template, so I feel like it is an issue when more than one play is displayed on the page.
Second question is I wanted to hide the download link under the audio play.
I did this with CSS:
ol.list-group {
display: none;
}
Is there a better way?
Finally, this install uses 2 categories for PDF and Audio downloads.
Is it possible to have conditional link templates to display PDF download options when it is a PDF and then audio player when there is an audio download? At the moment, ‘Download PDF’ is visible on all downloads even though audio downloads do not have PDF to download.
I am displaying the categories with:
[wpdm_category id="audio-interviews,pdf-articles," cols="1" toolbar=0 item_per_page=5 template="539657d418c45"]
If I remove template="539657d418c45
it does not display the link template that I specified in the download settings.
Thanks in advance.

You have a demo page template – http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/all-downloads/
I would like my page – http://fabnetpro.com/download/abey-sink-templates/ to look the same. What page template is it or is this custom?
Second question, is there a way to change the ‘download’ button to a ‘login/register’ button if the user is not logged in?
Thanks,
Andy
Hi Shaon,
The Bulk Import feature really covers what I’m looking for in a file/download manager. I’m interested in the administrator having the ability to upload multiple files and each file becoming its own package. So, its great that this feature is part of the plugin.
I would love to have the ability for a non-technical administrator to login to the front-end (or even the dashboard) drag-and-drop a bunch of files set for a specific category and have them all put into the system as separate packages. I haven’t discovered the best way to do this yet.
If for example I go to Dashboard > Downloads > Add New and I drag-and-drop multiple files then they become only 1 zipped package. It seems to work the same from wpdm_frontend.
A few questions:
1. Is there a way to use the bulk import feature from the front-end?
2. Is there a way to create new categories from the front-end?
3. Bulk Import works well with individual files that are already on the server. What would be the best way to drag-and-drop upload the files and import them? One method I can think of is uploading images through the WordPress Media manager. Then using Bulk Import to set the import directory to /uploads/[year]/[month] to get the files. I see this as too cumbersome for a non-technical user and will be problematic when the next import happens in the same month. It would probably require an upgraded media manger plugin with better organization. Is there a better way to achieve this?
Thank you,
Mike S
Why are we getting Link-expired.txt when we do not have a “end date” for this download to be available. The downloads need to be active at ALL times. We do not have a “Download Limit”.
