I did have a look into the WordPress forgot password functionality (https://www.dpsi.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword) and it sends an email and the link works fine.
Thanks,
Steve
I verified that php mail is working on our site. I tried disabling all plugins and email will send from WordPress… ie. Forgot Password however it does not send from WPDM forgot password.
I have this done and still no emails are being sent.
Please help
Thanks
Has there been any movement on this issue?
Thanks,
Steve
Some of this is fix however not all of it.
1. I can now get into the Download Notification email template. However, when downloading it does not send an email.
2. Forgot password still not sending an email to reset password.
Thanks
How was your issue resolved?
We have purchased both add-ons again, re-downloaded the new WPDM plugin along with both add-ons.
After reinstalling everything the following issue still exists:
1. When clicking on Email Templates the following error appears: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.
2. After clicking forgot password and entering my email address, no email is being sent.
Please help.
Thanks,
Steve
We are willing to purchase another year of support for our addons. Will upgrading the addons assure us that this issues will be resolved?
Also the latest update for Download Notifications states the following: Compatibility update for WordPress Download Manager Pro v6.
Does this mean that we will need to upgrade our main plugin to the pro version or will it continue to work with the free version?
Thanks,
Steve
It appears that this issue is related to the download notifications add-on. For files that do not send email notifications there is no issue, the issue is only with those that require notification.
Hope this helps.
We do have 2 add-ons: Download Notifications and Advanced Custom Fields. We are no longer eligible for updates to these as our 1 year customer support agreement has lapsed. To make matters even worse I just noticed we get an error now when trying to download files. This has become more urgent.
When will the update for the Quick Forms be updated?
Steve
Can I please get an update on this issue.
Thanks,
Steve
Maybe I am not asking this correctly.
Let me try to better explain what we have.
Under Settings I go to ‘Quick Forms’
Once there I have a field called DPSI Customer # with the following attributes:
– Field Label: DPSI Customer Number
– Field Name: acf_Registration_cust_no
– Field Type: Text
– Required Attribute: Not Required
Once the user registers on our site we capture the information. We can then go to the Users/All Users section of the wordpress site. There we can view the customer and we see the DPSI Customer # that they entered on the registration form.
The customer then logs into our site and downloads a file that is password protected. They are prompted with a message saying that an email will be sent to them with the password to unlock the file.
An email is then sent to our support team (via Download Notifications) stating the a user has downloaded a file and requires a password to unlock the file after download. Our support teams then needs to verify that this is a active customer of ours and is permitted to unlock the software that they downloaded.
Here is the problem: The email that support receives contains the users email address but we cannot show the DPSI Customer # that was entered during registration.
We need to show the DPSI Customer # on this email that we send to our Customer Support team.
How can we do this?
Thanks,
Steve
Thank you for replying, we would like to have fields such as the following: Customer Number, Product Purchased, Company Name, etc.
When they register with us we do capture that information, however we are not able to display it on the email that we receive once they download a file from our site.
Thanks.
Hello,
Will this functionality make it into the next release and if so when can we expect to see it?
Again this functionality was one of the main reasons that we purchased this add-on as we were lead to believe that it was already in the plugin.
Thanks,
DPSI
I was able to figure it out by using the code below:
[wpdm_all_packages items_per_page="10" categories="iMaint." jstable=1 order_by="date" order="DESC" cols="title|update_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Update Date|Download"]
Thanks for everything.
That works but I am trying to use a jstable (sorry for not mentioning that earlier). Here is the exact code that I am trying to get working.
[wpdm_all_packages jstable="1" items_per_page="10" categories="iMaint" order_by="create_date" order="desc"]
Thanks
