Choosing from the Select From Media Library option. By default, it will do so. You can also choose the other option too. When you attach files from the media library as a URL WPDM simply redirects to that URL when a user clicks on the download button, but when you upload a file directly or attach a file from the server as a server path, WPDM handles the download process and so there it can decide whether the file will open in browser or force download. So, if your file is already in the media library, and you want them to download instead of open in the browser, please attach those files using the server file browser instead of the media library file selector. please let me know
Thank you and regards

Hello Lina Christmann,
Hope you are well. And sorry for the inconvenience. The Remote files can’t be zipped for the main download button, for remote files, only a single file download will work, as to create zip files, individual files need to be stored on the same server. I hope you have understood.
Thank you and regards

I think the topic has been resolved by this shortcode,
[wpdm_archive_compact template="link-template-default" cols=2 colspad=1 colsphone=1 items_per_page="10" orderby="title" order="ASC" login=1]
Somehow replies have been deleted.

You can change it easily from the page template option in the pro version of WPDM.
For the free version, you have to modify the relevant template.
In this case, you can follow the below documentation,
By default, you are using link-template-default.php for the link template and page-template-default.php for the page template.
Now copy the files you want to modify from /src/{ComponentDir}/views dir to /{active-theme}/download-manager/ dir.
And you have to replace [download_link] with <a href="[download_url]" class="btn btn-primary" target=_blank>[link_label]</a> in related php file.
Thanks.
