actually it is not support for “3rd part plugin”, main issue is, his theme is not supporting custom post type. anyhow yes, we have custom upgrade support ( http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/custom-upgrade-service/ ). please send your requirement to customize@wpdownloadmanager.com , customization team will reply you with a quote.
they work as “or” logic, this or that. but if you want them to enter email and password both, you need to force them to signup. and keep them in a user role and make the download available for that role. then they will need to signin before download.

not clear, may you please explain little more on what you trying to do there.
http://questata.net/download/sponsors-packet-2014/ is not automatic page actually, it is standard theme template for custom post type. when there is no specific template designed in for custom post type it usually use single.php , but looks like you theme has option for custom sidebar regular page and post but don’t have the option for custom post type. in that case you actually need to ask your theme developer to enable the same option for custom post type :).

@seamstobesew, if you migrate data everything should be like v3, but still in some exception there may need some custom work as we moved to custom post type, but still you don’t want that, you can stay with v3 and if you face any issue there we will adjust there for you :). let me know please.
