Yes, I’m referring to Insert URL field. But the option exposes your file source. When user downloads the files from front-end.
If file is in your sever and your want to keep file source private, you need to use “select from server” button.

And “select from server” option is not working for your probably due to wrong file browser root:

Reset the root dir and save settings, then it will work fine again.

@shoreshdavid, Please you please share some screenshots of your situation. However, if you are using wpdm free version, we are already aware of the issue and an update is coming within next 24 hours with the fix.

What you are trying is not related to wpdm, but WP itself. wp doesn’t have any such option, also we didn’t implement any custom feature for that.

You don’t need to use archive page as home page. Your can create a page with [wpdm_packages] shortcode and set it as homepage.

I’ve checked it now. And here is the situation:

Which means, you are using old incompatible version of download notification add-on, please update all wpdm add-ons. Then it will work fine.

When you file files though wpdm or attach file using server file browser, download links are always protected.

BTW, if select files seems like no doing anything, menans you didn’t allow the type to upload. You can configure it from allowed file types in wpdm settings:

I was an issue with the newly added feature “file search and pagination” with Asset Manager. From 2nd page or when you search, file url was not compiling properly. I’ve adjust the issue on our side and updated the plugin on your site too. Also, a public update is coming soon.

You can keep the edited dashboard.php in /{active theme dir}/download-manager/dashboard/dashboard.php. In that way, plugin update won’t erase your changes in template file.
