No such limitation or limitation feature with wpdm. It could be your server and php settings, may you please contact your server/hosting support.

Sorry, From lock doesn’t mail download link to email. If you want to mail download link you will have to use email lock option.

You can disable bootstrap from download manager settings page, but some link/page template with wpdm make not looks nice after that, but you can adjust them using custom css or custom template.

1. Purchases link will be gone if you deactivate or delete “Premium Package” add-on.

I found the conflict is between “WPML” and “WordPress SEO” plugin, “WPDM” has nothing to do with this. When “WPML” is active, wp seo triggering a js error:
