If you are using the latest version of wpdm pro and file manager addon, file manager will show with author dashboard automatically, no additional action is required. There is no settings page for file manager, it will work synchronously with wpdm pro.
However, Invalid Directory may show if you set an invalid path for file browser root in wpdm settings page. You may give me temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply to help your with the setup.

For form lock, you also need to create a form using form plugin you installed. Now, when you creating/editing a package, you need to check Form Lock option and select the form, that’s all.
There is no on/off button for that, it will require customization in code, however, we have noted it.
You can add video preview in the description. Add to favorite option is already available with wpdm pro. You need to use tag [fav_button] to show favorite button. For custom taxonomies, a custom column in the download table you need to edit template file and PHP code. However, if you already copied the download manager template files in your child theme, you can edit any one of them as per your need. However, if you want to introduce new template tag, for example for showing custom taxonomies, you can use this:

For now sidebar view is not very suitable when there are too many documents, however, we shall add pagination there soon, until then you may use any other view from archive page 🙂
Actually, customization of registration form is not in the scope of this plugin but seems like many users are looking for this within wpdm pro, so we decided to bring an add-on for this soon 🙂
