when you will use the shortcode “wpdm-package id=pacakge id” in page content, it uses link template to render short-code, here is the examples of link templates: http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/link-templates-preview/ , when you click on title and go to package details page, it uses page template to short-code package info.
Any image will work there and you can use custom thumbnail size simply using template tag, more details are here: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/docs/integrated-templates/

Alas, I cannot give you access to the website, but there is definitely some confusion on how to use Link Templates and Page Templates.
We have test pages with single files as packages, but changing the Link Templates and Page Templates so we can view them doesn’t do anything at all… how can we best see what these templates look like?
And what is the best way to add images to the Directory add-on? We finally found where the crazy font was being added and removed it from the add on so that it used the same font as the rest of the site, but the thumbnails and featured images seem to have an erratic preference of their own when it comes to display sizes 🙂
Are there recommended sizes for Featured images for downloads?

– you need to select icon from icon metabox in add/edit package window ( http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/docs/adding-new-package/ ), then need to use [icon] tag in link or page template
– you can create new page template or client current template, remove the button with another one and save, more details is here: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/docs/integrated-templates/
– you have to do that editing css

Topic: Modified show entries
Hello,
I’m using v3.3.5. By default in every package, it only show 10 entries. How can I modified this to show by default at least 30? I thought that this number only is to show every download in the edit page, but when I update the package, it only show this 10 entries in the download page.
I’m using a [popup_link] and show only the [file_list]. Here is an image what I’m talking about

1. The email messages “Thank you for downloading…” has no subject and no sender. Where I can configure it?
2. Where I can configure the content of this message?Also, as I can see the templates/wpdm-email-link.php file is empty.

1) you need to add FB id, use “Link Template Embedded” and page template = “Single Column, Image Top, Extended” in case of facebook like lock
2) find and replace the word “@webmaniac” from download-manager/functions.php with any other name or just remove
3) you can’t do that for now
4) that may appear if your set limit
5) use [icon] tag with template, to link use like this <a href=”[page_ur]”>[icon]</a>

Topic: Uploading Files
I am able to upload a document and create a package from the “Create New Package” tab using the [wpdm_frontend] shortcode; however, the file link (physical location) does link correctly causing a download of the “file-not-found.txt” document. I have to relink each file using the “Manage Packages” section (the “Add file(s) from server” selection works). How I can fix this? I am using an asp.net server if that makes a difference, and I needed to add a web.config file to the uploads folder to get the uploads to work. Also, am I able to alter the location of the uploads folder?
Hi, I’m using WP Download Manager to manage hundreds, almost a thousand downloads and have multiple users helping add and maintain the downloads. It would save us a ton of time and reduce the amount of checking we have to do if we could set certain default values for the Package Settings of a New Package.
The most helpful fields to be able to set default values in the settings section which would be defaulted to when you add a new package are:
–Allow Access
–Link Template
–Page TemplateFinally, we attach a license file to every download. It would be awesome if there was a way to specify a file or files that are automatically attached when you create a new package… they could just show up in the list already. Again, specified in the settings section. If this was set and you didn’t want it, you could delete just like you can any other file in a package.

I’m using the Print function of the Sharing module within the Jetpack plugin. I’m not sure which WP Download Manager update caused this but I am now not able to have the WP Download Manager activated and still be able to use the Print button. The print button (which hyperlinks to #print) used to open up the browser print window. With the Download Manager activated, it now does nothing. Please advise.

Some getting started questions….
1. Facebook lock does not appear on any template. Other Locks appear but not Facebook. I used the FB url. I didnt add any FB App ID
2. Twitter Lock works, but you it has @webmaniac at the end, which is you – how do I change this or at least get rid of it.
Also, you can edit / remove and change all the Twitter link data – should this be editable? Other things I have used make this un-editable.3. How do I edit the color of the support email background. Its blue by default. I want white.
4. I noticed on some pages template a DL link would DL the file even if the message LIMIT EXCEEDED would appear
5. How do I get the icon I choose in the package to be the icon on the download page template. How do I make this icon clickable?
all latest, mac osx. word press, download manager. The problem is when downloading, the file size is not available after clicking the download link. for example, 55m will only be download as about 52m. So corrupted. Sometimes, the file size is shown. Randomly, not sure why. please take a look and fix it as soon as possible.
