Alexander, these edits didn’t seem to fix my issue either 🙁 , but at least they didn’t throw an error like it did for donkeymusic.
Donkeymusic, I think it would be great for the author to implement filtering, but to do this is a huge amount of coding and CSS.
it would be wonderful to see sorting actually work, searching and filtering go into future releases. i am going to play around with this a bit more today; I’ll post back anything that may be useful in helping us to resolve this name sorting issue. Also, for the record, I did attach a screen capture of my document library, just so you can see what i am dealing with. Cannot provide a link to this library-too sensitive.
Better tested: Google+ lock works, Facebook not.

It’s to much work, I think, to add a line with filter options, it will be to much work, because you must add the Line and there some buttons must appear, you must style them with a lot of css and gthen, the user can order them in the frontdend by name.
My solution, is for the frontednd and not for the backend.
I konw, that the letters in my example are ordered, it orders the files alphabetical.
I have now added my “download-manager/download-manager.php” in the txt format to post #9467.

The SQL command, what does this work ist: “SELECT * FROM ‘ahm_files‘ WHERE ‘category‘ LIKE ‘%\”$id\”%’ ORDER BY ‘title‘ ASC”
It’ correct SQL syntax.

The link you show, isnt working with sorting by name and only was until the update earlier this year since then it has not worked and the lack of support from the designer is very limited although they did say they update in April would include this option.

I know, i will see previews on the default template- when i add some.
But..
1st: Do i have to upload extra files for thumbnails or can the plugin generate automaticly some?
2nd: Whats about PAGE TEMPLATES with singe-file-downloads? There thumbnails would be more interesting- automatic generated for each file-link and with a lightbox poping up on click – and inside this the download button – i think this is a feature request isnt it?
But, ive just send an email to support with login data.

Sorting by ID is fine, but name is not working. Following the reposted link in your posting, it is clear this guy wasn’t able to sort by Name either.
I wish the developer would add name sorting already!!

The solution was downloading and installing an update the form builder plugin. The availability of this update, however, did not show on my plugins page.
There is another problem presenting itself. When I assign a form lock to two of my downloads. Only the first on the page will work correctly. The second one redirects to a blank page with a download link after the form is submitted.
Another thing is, I don’t get an email with the form’s data. I do have ticked that box in the form builder.

As i told you i have problems with shortcodes in blog templates an there are a few other things.

The 1st button “Tests (Blog, etc…)” opens my blog layout. The article on this blog-site includes a shortcode from WPDM – but its not working.
On “Kundenbereich” (last button- dont click here!) is a SUBMENU called “MR Design”.
Clicking on it opens a site with a running WPDM.
Password vor entering it is “test” for now.
Here are now download buttons – just textlinks. I thought the dlbutton-addon would help here,, but it seems to have no function anywhere.
Click on “CarStyling” to open the file-details on a new site.
What i would find very useful (feature request?) are thumbnails of the files you can see. Because visitors can´t see now the images they would download. A small thumbnail with a light box on click would be fantastic.
However- take a look to the site, and to the screenshots i attached.
Maybe someone can help me.

you can use link template “Link Template Default” with show download link with thumbnail.
filesize don’t have any effect on download start time, anyhow send a temporary wp-admin login info to support@wpdownloadmanager.com to check your issue. looks like other plugin conflict or something with your server.

The question: look at http://www.cashmatic.it/download/ ad stop with your mouse on any category. You see that the resulting link contains the name of the category (example: http://www.cashmatic.it/downloads/brochures/)
That link is read and indexed by the search engines, in fact i’ve see some accesses to any of those pages. The “problem” is this: the resulting page is an unuseful page without anything but the comments box 🙂
So my question is: how i can add a noindex, nofollow tag to these pages or, alternatively, why you don’t code something that renders the downloads available for that category? As you can see, i have the directory addon, so i think you may add some functions that simply renders the shortlink with the “this category” parameter.

I also have a very long delay between clicking on Download and the Save dialog box appearing. I have a package that contains a ~130MB .zip file and when I click on Download it takes a good 3-5 minutes before I am prompted to save the file. I also have a package with a ~500MB .zip file that times out.

We’re having a similar problem. It’s not the actual page that is indexed, it’s the download link. Google is indexing the PDF file.

You can see 4 “public” downloads, listed with the wpdm-archive shortcode (we’re now deciding between this and wpdm-all-packages shortcode).
The next step is adding some “reserved” downloads, for registered users (we’re deciding too if the users must be “simple” registered or with a custom user role). So… can you explain me, please, the steps i must follow for reach my target?
The idea: private downloads don’t displays the “Download” link but displays something like “Login”
When the user clicks on the “Login” link he can login or register himself

Thanks for your reply, however I may not have made my problem clear enough. I have read and re-read the documents for this but still cannot fathom this out.
We are going to create around 6 WordPress pages of downloadable datasheets. Each WordPress page will contain maybe six links to separate datasheets.
I have created 2 test packages which refer to my wpdm link template which looks good when viewed and my wpdm page template which is where I seem to have a problem with when viewed.
This is the code that the page template generates:

Hi There!
I just want to add, at the bottom of my POSTS, a nice button that says DOWNLOAD NOW, and to show the number of times it has been downloaded and the size of it. Basically what I had with the FREE version.
I upgraded to PRO to have multiple files option, but I just don’t seem to have the option to NOT have the PAGE option.
What am I missing?

Instead of download start, it shows the last photo error. It works when I put website page link to facebook like box. I want to get likes for my big page on facebook, not for my website page or posts.
