I have the 2 shortcodes below. the result doesnt change when i am changing the order_by parameter. It can be title, download_count_link, etc. the result is alwasy the same. I can not see what the result is sorted by. Both of this shortcodes show exactly the same result. makes no sense.

I bought Directory Addon and I have this short-code on my “download page”:
[wpdm-archive cat_view=”extended” button_style=”warning” link_template=”5693c493f334b” order_by=”post_title” order=”asc” items_per_page=”20″]
Now, when you enter the page, before selecting a category, all the packages appear in the page. I don’t like this. I want that no package appear before you select a category. Is it possible?

That issue got fixed.
I’ve disabled guest orders in favor of requiring users to sign up for accounts before purchasing/downloading. However, when a purchase is completed, it takes the user to a page that does not exist (screenshot #1 attached). Clicking the download link in the email takes them to a page that doesn’t exist as well (screenshot #2).
What is going wrong?

Create a link template using following code:
<h3>[title]</h3> [file_list] [download_link]
And use the new link template with your category short-code.

Questions wrt email lock custom fields:
1.) where do I enter this code (what file)?
2.) If I create a field with the ID of “cust_company”, how do I insert this into that code in the body of the message?
3.) How do I insert custom field data into the template that is used to send the link to the customer? I see in Subscribers>email template that there is [download_url] and [site_name] is there something similar for custom fields? I tried [cust_company] but that doesn’t work.
4.) how do I make a custom field required?
I want to display 2 or 3 downloads side by side on the category. i can make a linktemplate but the downloads are always displayed among themselves. how can i change that?
Hello,
after updating to WPDM 2.8.9 the hole Site with my Downloads is down. When I deactivate the Download-Manager plugin, the Site is ok. When I reinstall an older version of WPDM, the Site ist ok an the Download-Links are ok.
I’m using the WPDM TinyMce Button and the WPDM Button Templates. Theses plugins are broken too, when i use an older version of WPDM.Can you help me? š

Hi,
You can create a guest order page using [wpdm-pp-guest-orders] shortcode. After creating that page , save it in Premium Package Settings

Guest User can download their ordered product using order id and email address(from checkout step) from that page.
And email for guest download has to refer to that guest order page (currently it sends link of dashboard page, we will update email link in next release of Premium Package ) For now you have edit email template from plugin folder (premium-package/templates/email-templates) dir.
Fatal Error has been fixed (it is from Download Manager ) and updating plugin today.

Topic: Guest Checkout Not Working!
I have specified for my website to allow for guest checkout, but when I click the order link in the email, it redirects them to the register/log in page (screenshot #1 attached).
Also, is it possible to customize the text of these emails? I don’t want my customers to read that they have to create an account to download their files when they do not (screenshot #2).

I am not getting this interface in my wordpress site. I have updated my version of Download Manager Pro. Please help. I have the same issue. Prior to this past week, I didn’t need a master key to have a direct link to the download. Is this a new feature – using a master key – to enable a direct download? Please help.

Use [download_url] not [download_link].
[download_link] generates link tag itself. So no need to use it as attribute value.
I have been using the WPDM free version for over half a year, the previous (still current) version is 2.7.95, and it all works well. But since I updated the version, the problem keeps occurring. The newest version is the most severe one. After I installed the update, all the files cannot be downloaded, only the “Link expired” or “File not found” txt after clicking the download button.
So now I roll back the version to the 2.7.95 and everything is just fine. But I still wanna try the new features in the newest version. Can the author check the problems for me?

There may be some type of error in the shortcode. I just updated to 4.5.2 and it doesn’t look like it’s rendering properly.

I am using the shortcode for the Archive “Compact” template and the drop downs for “Category”, “Order by”, and “Order” are not working. (See image attachment)
Shortcode I’m using:

I just purchased Pro to set up the front end, and it’s working great for the PDFs.
What I’d like to do is have each title have two hot buttons in the file list display — the existing “Download” link in one column and a new additional column for “Open in Browser” for each listing in the Title/File column.
Is there any way to make this happen?
Also, I know the global settings have an option called “Open in Browser” that says “Try to Open in Browser instead of download when someone clicks on download link.” I could kludge something together with this if I had to, if the setting could be applied on a per category or per download basis. Is that possible?

I’ve had the same problem.
In my case, this problem had been caused by the add-on “WPDM – Button Templates”.
When I deactivated this add-on, the wrapping box of downloading link disappeared.We’re experiencing an issue with the default packages shortcode in the latest release [wpdm_packages id=***]. The shortcode is pulling the file name and download count, but the icon and download link appear to be broken. Will this be addressed in the upcoming release? I’ve included a sample of the issue below:

The system dispatches email links absolutely fine, however the users email address is not being captured, the Subscribers list is empty!
How do we rectify this please?

I am not using translation plugin for WordPress, so I just like to simply change the words indicated by the shortcode directly.
When i make the customrized template to tap: [download_link] —> the content shows: “Download” in the frontend.
What shall i do to change the content of “Download” to other words please?

I recently installed the free version of your plugin and then I updated it in PRO version.
For some time it worked correctly.
There were the downladable files that figured with the ‘Access denied’ sentence when the user was logged out and with the downlod link when the user was logged in.

If you log in the link works properly!More over, in the āDownload Manager Settingsā I can’t save the settings. because when I click the button āSave Settingsā it turns uninterruptedly and it not save the new settings.

I am getting a message saying there is a new version of Download Manager, so I am click on the link provided, then clicking the + button next to the update. This says “success”. I click “save settings”. However, when I refresh the page, it tells me the update needs doing again.

I activated the permalink, maybe this is the problem?Sorry for all this question but i don’t understand because i have a dashboard page:
