Have uploaded to latest version but cant seem to find the way to your new temp download link widow? where is it?

Over the past few weeks, I have had over 20 customers call me and send me emails explaining to me that they are unable to download the .zip files after they enter the password on our website. After they enter the password, click submit, then click Download, my customers get a “link-expired.txt” file. Can anybody explain why?
Just put WPDM 4.7.0 Pro on a standard, default WP install (4.8.2). The downloaded file could be directly from the root of the website like “licencse.txt” from the WP installation. I tested on default configuration with no changes made in the WPDM plugin settings other then pasting reCAPTCHA Site Key and reCAPTCHA Secret Key. I created a new package named “test” and for testing purposes I added “lincese.txt” file to it from the site root and I selected “Single Column, Image Top, Extended” for page template.
Result: right after captcha is solved a new download window pops-up with the “link-expired.txt”
I shifted many environment variables [target file, browser, browser caching, package name various plugin download options]
Nothing works.
On some page templates like “Metro Style” the captcha opens in a pop-up. That captcha is not usable. Erorr: reCaptcha service can not be accessed… So please make sure that the captcha lock module is working and also make a simple check of captcha with each link template and page template.-until now, I achieved the same result on 2 separate hosting environments (both using cPanel on linux)
-the issue is not related with output buffering or resumable downloads options
-the links can be normally downloaded and are valid if the captcha lock is not used, conclusion being that the captcha lock module does not get valid links from the plugin core
-I can not find the previous version, WPDM 4.6.9 Pro to download and test. Please send it to me If you can. Downgrading might be the best solution for me at this point.We didn’t change anything around captcha lock option is the latest version.
- Yes, the download starts automatically after solving the captcha to save the extra effort of another click for your users. However, your suggestion is noted.
- Please give me an example where captcha lock is not working
- Download link only will expire after it is used for 3 times, however, in v4.7.0 you can change the limit from wpdm settings page.
However, please give me an example URL where you facing the problem and temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply.
I am new to Download Manager and have been trying out the Free Version last couple of days and i’m still not quite sure what to make of it, how it will work with my membership plugin, Membermouse. Looks like it will be helpful, maybe with addons later, but i ran into a problem with using Password Locking and i just get “Processing…” when password entered. I wonder if some caching delay with a CDN i’m using (Sitelock) may be a problem with use of password here. I set up a test MM account, created a bundle for access, assigned the bundle to the test account, and restricted access to a certain portal (apparently with the basic plugin you can upload only one file in each portal) to that bundle. I originally had the settings set to open in browser so it opened showing a link that apparently can be accessed by anyone. Having it set NOT to open in browser keeps the link masked from the client, but i wonder is it truly secure if anyone can enter the link (perhaps a hacker guessing at it) and download the file? I suppose locking via password is necessary but for some reason password is not working–when i enter password it just lags saying “Processing…” and it does that even if i remove the MM bundle access restriction. Perhaps an issue with my SSL and/or CDN?)
One of the main reasons for which I purchased this plugin is its potential ability to combine expiring links with captcha security witch is almost mandatory these days anyways. Unfortunately I experience a whole range of problems with this plugin when I enable captcha security:
-automatically starting the download after captcha is solved (no option to disable this)
-multi-file downloads and many page layouts do not work well or at all with captcha lock enabled

I am trying to use the WPDMP to give users access to iOS apps for beta testing (yes I have a developer license). The files are not in the app store and we have to use a specific URL structure to link to a .plist file which then provide the download link to our .ipa file.
1. Is there a way you can make it so that the DOWNLOAD BUTTON would read the .plist file and in turn download the .ipa file?
if not
2. Can you give us a custom file listing page that doesn’t have download buttons and we’ll link all file to a link in the page content?
If you can quote me a price for doing one or both of the options above, I would appreciate it.

The temporary user doesn’t have plugin editor access. So, I couldn’t try the possible solution for this issue. Please enable editor access.

There is no way to remove the link from the first category only. If you want to remove all links has to be removed.

Hi,
I’m about to set up me first wp download manager site: http://tool-zone.de/toolz.
Currently I’m facing a serious issues with my download links: None of the download links (single files or packages) are working properly. Clicking on a download link does not activate a download process but leads me to the indivdual download page.
What’s wrong?
Please help me to fix this. Thank you.

I have the following shortcode on the home page of my site:

However, I cannot go to page 2 of the download list.
The URL is http://www.alfredduma.gov.za/page/2/ – without /downloads/ in itIf I put the same shortcode on a page which is not the home page, then the pagination link is http://www.alfredduma.gov.za/downloads/page/2/ and the pagination works.

I use WP Downloadmanager free version, in combination with the purchased version of WPDM form lock together with contact 7 forms. The set up was fairly straightforward and the form appears on the download page. https://illutas.com/en/downloads-2/All I want is for people to register their email address & get send the link to download and keep the details of who has downloaded it.
The first bit is ok, but I never receive an email link back. I think this is because I haven’t set up an email template of what to send to downloaders, but I can’t find that option anywhere. Does that only come with the Pro version?
And if I only ever want to do either a “free download” or a “register to download via valid email link” , is Form lock then the right option or should I stick with a simpler variant?Thanks!

- Create package for every photo you want to sell, you also can sell multiple photos in same package as a bundle ( Demo: https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/download/premium-fonts/ )
- If you want to show a photo in any specific page you may use package shortcode, but there are category page ( https://oni-online.com.au/download-category/html-css/ ) to show the list or category shortcode to show mutiple packages using single shortcode. Also we have another add-ons to show packages with all categories and search option:

Hi,
I have purchased the Pro Download Manager and also the Advanced Access extension. I am trying to run it alongside the Google Drive add-on that is recommended.
I’ve set up a test file and everything works well but if I provide the /download link to a user – the user logs in on my site, is shown the file link but when the user clicks it they are sent to log in to their Google Drive account to validate again. I’ve followed the Google API setup instructions very closely but it’s fairly critical that I get rid of this 2nd Google login stage for the users who will recieve the links.
Could you please advise how this is done?
Our client is having a problem with the WP Downloads plugin and Email Form Lock feature. The email with the download link is not coming through. Is this a known issue?

You need to enable single file download for that, but a user must click each download link separately.

It is not possible to use link template on sidebar view. You can use other Archive Page views with link templates.
If you are trying to remove details page link from card template then clone the card template and remove the link from the title.
