    Hello,

    I want users to be able to select single files from a package to download, and then they submit their email address, then they get emailed a link to download.

    Single File Download is not working for me in this scenario. I have Single File Download enabled, I have Email Lock enabled. My link template is:

    [file_list]
    [download_link_extended]

    Should single file download work in this scenario?

    Hi,

    Are you using WPDM – Archive Page (version 2.9.1)? please post the link in private reply to check the issue. You have to use link template with the archive shortcode. Page template will be visible only single download package page.

    And if you have the latest version there might be any js conflict with any other plugin or theme. Then it will need to deactivate theme/plugin to check which one causing the issue.

    Thanks

    I changed form plugin (gravity) and works. The problem now is after filling my form and press submit button, doesnt redirect to download link but remaining to the form with spinner icon. If i close the form and then press download button again appears the “download now button”

    Check link with gravity form: http://www.urbietorbi.gr/portfolio/ultima/

    Hi,

    You can use custom link template and set the download url to open in new tab. Just use target blank like following example,

    <a target="_blank" href="[download_url]">Download</a>

    Creating a new template ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/creating-a-new-template/ )

    Also, check the setting open in browser from Downloads Settings File Download

    Thanks.

    Team,
    I’m using ‘default template extended’.

    Please return edited code for this copy of the defult template extended with this modification…

    Modification: MAKE THE ‘DOWNLOAD’ TEXT OPEN IN A NEW TAB.

    ie: target _blank

    I don’t know how to edit your shortcodes.

    <div class="panel panel-default">
        <div class="panel-body">

        <div class="media">
            <div class="pull-left">[icon]</div>
            <div class="media-body"><strong class="ptitle">[title]</strong>
                [description]
                <div><strong>[download_link_extended]</strong></div>
            </div>
        </div>

        </div>
        <div class="panel-footer"><span class="pull-right">[download_count] downloads</span>[file_size]</div>
    </div>

    Also please let me know how to make a link template the default link template.

    I’m standing by.
    With Best Regards,

    Hi,

    When we click on the downloadlink, its getting a 404 error page:

    https://enphaseinstallerportal.eu/nl/download/enphase-battery-photos/?wpdmdl=2528&ind=1522314857541

    We uploaded the files but now it’s not working when we click on download. Nothing gets downloaded!

    Hope to hear from you.

    Thanks Hasibul.

    But the issue is that I would have manually link each and every file and also insert all the meta data such as “file size” and “file version” from the default WP Media Library into the Download Manager.

    I have about 200 or more files.

    Is there a way to link them in bulk ?

    I need your help with this, I can’t seem to figure out why this is happening. I have packages setup for download, and the entire package downloads just fine. But when you open the package and view the individual images inside the package, the download single file is broken. Usually the first one you click on will download, but then it kicks you to a 404 not found page. When you hit back, and try to click on any more links, they don’t download and just kick you to the not found page. Please check it out and let me know what you think, I can provide admin login.

    I’m attaching some screenshots, the main package download works just fine. Here is the link to the page in my screenshot: http://www.rideradarronix.com/2018-ronix-product/

    The other screenshot is of the contents of the package. This is just an example, all of the packages are doing the same thing.. But on this screenshot any of the “download” buttons you click do the same thing and go to a error page. Here is the link to the page: http://www.rideradarronix.com/package/18-ronix-product-wakeskates/

    Please check this out and let me know what to do. Thank you.

    Good afternoon guys. Manually updated the WPDM, Stripe and Premium Packages just now. Pretty straighforward, and most of my settings transferred over to the new versions of each (although my icon settings for most packages were erased). Had a successful test purchase using the new Premium Package, and the redirect following purchase confirmation settings are correct. I came to a page that just lists the shortcode [wpdm-pp-guest-orders] versus actually executing, please see the attached. The same is true for the email that is sent to the purchaser with a link to the guest downloads page. Any thoughts on how to correct? I have reactivated Premium Packages plugin per a similar post, which eliminated the empty cart error but not this. Thanks in advance for your time.

    Hi,

    With the Advanced Access Control add-on, you can control user-specific access to your files and document downloads. So if you want few users can access a package or download then you can use this addon. If you want to allow access to a specific user role then you might create additional user role with (https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/) this free plugin rather than the subscriber, and use it to allow access field.

    But as you want to have the download limit in terms of time and download counts the possible solution is to use the Wp Pro Membership addon (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wp-pro-membership/). Which you can create multiple membership levels and control the single package or package category downloads.

    Also, if you also want to control single package download limit for any user role then you can use this addon (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/download-limit/). This is also an alternate solution. You can use this and make the package access to specific user role and assign the email of the users to that role to give them access to specific packages.

    So as you have access setting for the package for any specific user role, you can send the direct package link to that email. They should log in and download the package from the website with that email. Other users will not have access to that package.

    Thanks

    We bought the Pro license for WPDM because we needed extended Access Control as indicated on your pricing page. It wasn’t very clear what “Extended” means here, and difficult to get a detailed explanation on your website. We have since found that we need an additional extension, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-access-control/ if we want to give user specific access to a package. Is this really the case or are we mistaken in some way?

    We also can’t find a method for getting a link that we can email to someone with the following properties:
    – The link should only work if the email we send to is allowed to have access
    – The link should be hashed and have download limits, in terms of time and download counts
    – We do not want to keep on adding packages for each instance where we send out a link this way, ideally we want to be sending a link from an existing package, a new hashed link ought to be generated and sent to any email address that we have specified, and that link should inherit the limitations configured on the package.

    Is there an Add-on that we are perhaps missing, or perhaps we are not finding the right documentation? We greatly appreciate any advice you have to offer.

    Hi,

    Have tried the link provided in the email about upgrading, but it just takes me to my plugin page where it says you cannot do this automatically.

    I then click on “View Version 4.7.4 details and get an error message (see pic attached).

    Also cannot see anything on your website about upgrade.

    Do I just Download whole new system from my account as we had to do before.

    In reply to: Hiding page link

    Hi,

    You have to edit /download-manager/tpls/wpdm-all-downloads.php for this shortcode. You can find details here about modifying the shortcode templates.

    You need to remove the page link from line 251 by removing href='".get_the_permalink(get_the_ID())."'

    Thanks

    Clearing the cache does not resolve the issue. I see a syntax error in my Chrome Console that appears to be directly related to this modal button. See the attached screenshot for the errors. I have verified that this issue exists on both my live and staging sites. I have tested with all other plugins disabled and a default WordPress theme and the issue still remains.

    When I click the link on the syntax error, Chrome highlights this code on the Sources tab as having the issue:

    <button type="button" class="btn btn-default" onclick="__showDownloadLink(13059, 5a68f9f320c7c)"><i class="fa fa-link"></i></button>

    Steps to reproduce the syntax error:

    1. Open any package under All Packages.
    2. Click the modal button on a file in the list (nothing happens). Be sure to do this first before inspecting the page.
    3. THEN right-click and Inspect the page in Chrome.
    4. Click the link on the syntax error which will open the Console and highlight the line with the error (in my case, it’s line 2508).

    I’ll give you access to my site in a private message so that you can investigate the issue. Thank you.

    You can always use the page template. You can clone the existing template. Modify the code. And use that template inside the package settings.

    No, you can’t replace. [download_url] gives a button with the download link and [download_link] gives the direct download link. So you can make custom download link with open in new window.

    Thanks

    #72187

    So I can not use the Page template?
    Can I replace the with [download_url] with [download_link] inside this code which you write for me?

    Thanks
