There are no template selections available from the Download Manager Settings page, so where would I make those changes?
We are already using link templates for the files to remove the download counts, which you can see when you view the individual files, but that doesn’t translate to the main archive page.
every all those also depends on link template or page template, like for archive page, you can select link template from wpdm settings page, there you can select a link template without download count. also you can remove size in same way by removing [file_size] tag
HI Shaon, I have the same problem, I have remove
if(get_option(‘_wpdm_etpl’)==”){
update_option(‘_wpdm_etpl’,array(‘title’►’Your download link’,’body’►file_get_contents(dirname(__FILE__).’/templates/wpdm-email-lock-template.html’)));
} from download-manager.php
and deactivate e reactivate the plugin, but doesn’t work
do you have any suggestion?
thanks in advance manner
when you will use the shortcode “wpdm-package id=pacakge id” in page content, it uses link template to render short-code, here is the examples of link templates: http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/link-templates-preview/ , when you click on title and go to package details page, it uses page template to short-code package info.
Alas, I cannot give you access to the website, but there is definitely some confusion on how to use Link Templates and Page Templates.
We have test pages with single files as packages, but changing the Link Templates and Page Templates so we can view them doesn’t do anything at all… how can we best see what these templates look like?
And what is the best way to add images to the Directory add-on? We finally found where the crazy font was being added and removed it from the add on so that it used the same font as the rest of the site, but the thumbnails and featured images seem to have an erratic preference of their own when it comes to display sizes 🙂
Are there recommended sizes for Featured images for downloads?
I’v just purchased download manager pro and have some questions.
– How can I select an icon in the backens, so that I can see it in the frontend, for example for a PDF-file?
– Look at this example: : Whats about the blue-white little icon above on the left side? And how can I remove the big orange button on the bottom left side?
– How can I change the link color here (the blue color):
– Which template did you use here on your demo site:
We have the plugin installed, but need help loading up the documents (8-12 PDF/Word Docs) and setting up a registration process for authorized visitors to access to these documents with usernames, email address and passwords. From time to time, we will be changing or uploading new documents. We’ll need that to be easy to do. Our website: http://theopentable.org Please contact me to discuss your fixed fee to get this completed for us. You can contact me at wordpress@johnchidester.com. Include a phone number and your location and best time to call. Include a link to a site for which you have been responsible for installing download manager. Thanks. We’d like to complete this by March 9. Open Table is a 501c3 whose mission is to lift individuals and families out of poverty. We currently have about 100 “tables” in 15 states.
I’m using v3.3.5. By default in every package, it only show 10 entries. How can I modified this to show by default at least 30? I thought that this number only is to show every download in the edit page, but when I update the package, it only show this 10 entries in the download page.
I’m using a [popup_link] and show only the [file_list]. Here is an image what I’m talking about
I have some issues regarding Email Lock settings:
1. The email messages “Thank you for downloading…” has no subject and no sender. Where I can configure it?
2. Where I can configure the content of this message?
Also, as I can see the templates/wpdm-email-link.php file is empty.
1) you need to add FB id, use “Link Template Embedded” and page template = “Single Column, Image Top, Extended” in case of facebook like lock
2) find and replace the word “@webmaniac” from download-manager/functions.php with any other name or just remove
3) you can’t do that for now
4) that may appear if your set limit
5) use [icon] tag with template, to link use like this <a href=”[page_ur]”>[icon]</a>
6) for http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/file-download/my-favorite-songs/ , install attached add-on , then create a new page template with following code:
I am able to upload a document and create a package from the “Create New Package” tab using the [wpdm_frontend] shortcode; however, the file link (physical location) does link correctly causing a download of the “file-not-found.txt” document. I have to relink each file using the “Manage Packages” section (the “Add file(s) from server” selection works). How I can fix this? I am using an asp.net server if that makes a difference, and I needed to add a web.config file to the uploads folder to get the uploads to work. Also, am I able to alter the location of the uploads folder?
I spent my money and now I find 90% of what I need and want to do does not work.
1) Front-end Manager does not show packages
2) No way to add file/package link from editting a post or a page.
3) Advance TinyMCE button breaks TinyMCE
4) This was supposed to be the continuation (or sold as) the continuation of Download Monitor.
So far, next to nothing is working — after spending 2 days trying to get it set up to the point where other people could
(a) upload, (b) categorize existing and (c) download / view files that are already listed in the packages.
