#2, For image (in galleries, lightboxes, etc.), you can follow, this template hierarchy doc, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/template-tags/, here, you will find tag name for images
[thumb_gallery_WxH]also for featured image preview[preview]tag. you can use them. you can do it fromDownloads > Templates > link-templates/page-templates, you can clone them or create a new one. and thus you can edit them or use in your own packagesettings > page-templates/link-templates.

by default, you are usinglink-template-default.phpfor link template andpage-template-default.phpfor the page template. As documentation, you have to copy the file in the theme directory naming a folder calleddownload-manager, then paste it inpage-templatesfor page template orlink-templatesfor link template. and edit them as your own requirements.#3, you can do it by Set
Downloads > Settings > Basic > File Download > Mask Download Link#4, you can protect them from role-based protection too.
#5, For that you can use it in your page template the
[preview]tag#6, You can remove the download link tag from your own custom template and apply for the role-based protection.

Sorry, I’m getting confused with this plugin. There is so much to understand.
I have the feeling things aren’t as simple as I thought.
Here’s a summary of what I know :
-I have images that I want protected : they can be seen by authorized user roles.
-These images have to be displayed on a page like any regular image (in galleries, lightboxes, etc.) No need to make a downloadable package. –
-I don’t want people to be able to access them through direct link ; I don’t want Google to be able to see them either.
-I can’t upload them to my media library because that triggers the thumbnails generation and it seems there’s nothing I can do to stop it. I can protect the master image, but not the thumbnails.
-I want to use them as featured images, but it seems that’s impossible if they are not in the media library (or is there another way?)
*edit* I found a plugin that allows me to enter a URL for featured img BUT the URL generated by WPDM doesn’t display an image…If I upload the image in a secure WPDM folder, the link I generate (with user restriction) doesn’t work in galleries : I don’t see the image, I see the download link…
I’m lost…

Thank you for this! I was trying to create a private gallery displaying the images uploaded in the package to see if that was a possible solution…
I’m still looking for a way to display my images instead of a download button, but I think the answer might be in the templates. I’m trying to figure out how to make one that suits my needs.
I’ll keep searching, but if you have any advice I’d be happy to learn more đ
If there is a way to just copy the secure link generated by WPDM to display my images in the gallery it would be awesome !Thank you

Also “Download link also sent to your email” popup is shown.This is news coming with 5.0.94 because I didn’t experience it configuring 5.0.93

Yes, I have checked now. they are working now. Maybe for the master key got to expire. so that, it was redirecting to the invalid download link. There also caused this issue for

Hi Nayeem. Thank you. I did switch to the “Save in file” option and pressed Save. I emptied cache and still no custom templates appearing in the Downloads > Settings > Basic > frontend access > Select link template dropdown. Hopefully they’ll appear after the update you provide.

Hi, download links are not mailed to subscribers on packages with Email Lock. I’m on 5.0.93.
Subcriber and download notifications (have add-on) emails to admin work, link to customer emails don’t.
No email sent. Have both simple lock and “wait for approval” lock, in both cases no email.
Used to work some time (versions) ago. Nothing changed on website.Clues?

EFAfter updating from 5.0.8 to 5.0.93 the custom templates again are missing in the Downloads > Settings > Basic > frontend access > Select link template dropdown. Yet, the custom templates do exist. They are available at download package level.

Steps taken:
Disable plugin / activate plugin
Clear server cache
Clear WPDM cache
Re-save license
Deactivate Page Template extension / activate extensionAny help you can give is appreciated. This is the second time this happened. Last time I had to recreate the templates to get it back.

1) I use the CTA 3 as a base for my clients websites but it’s not responsive at all and looks really bad on mobile phones. Could you please provide an updated code or update the CTA 1,2 and 3 so it’s at least usable on mobile phones. Yes, I’ve followed steps from within other forum-post. Currently version installed = 5.0.93
The strange part is: Archive page plugin folder is totally vanished, putting it back manually does not work.

non of our download links work. They are form locked. When user fills form they get the download button (and email sent by gravity forms). Download button on page after form submit doesn’t work!!
