I really hope you are able to help. I’ve spent a day searching for an answer on your docs and Google.
I have created an element that is to be used as a single download template page here: https://busegroup.sg-host.com/download/buse-disposable-cans-uk/
I can use Generateblocks dynamic data to bring in the title and the feature image, but I can’t find a way to have a ‘download’ button for downloading the PDF file.
WP Download Manager docs show a shortcode of [download_link], but I’ve tried all different ways and have failed to get it to work. I’ve also tried enabling dynamic data on the button, to change the link source to post meta, hoping the download link would appear, but it doesn’t.
I’d really appreciate if you could assist please.

I was wondering if we can use wpdm to count external clicks, so intead of uploading a file. We just redirect a user to another url and that counds as a ‘download’. Would that work if we just use the Insert URL option? https://i.imgur.com/VZCvbYi.png
Also is there an addon or a way with more reports/stats? We would need to get the number of downloads per quarter or per month and which ones were downloaded and how many times.
I have a big problem with Download Manager. Any update deletes the whole folder where the plugin is, and a new version is copied over.
I have some page templates and link templates in those folders, along with changes to some of the files and they get deleted every time there is an update.
When you have an update, could you just download and replace the files changed in the update and not the whole shebang?Hi, I am using Download Manager Pro + ActiveCampaign Subscription. PHP Version 7.4.33.6

Tried the following already
- Reconnected license to website
- Updated permalinks
- Cleared cache
- Tried uploading a new document
- Changed the directory from “downloads” to “files”
Can you please help! This issue is on the live site and vital to daily operation.

I tried today to select the icon to retrieve the direct link to a specific file, but it hangs the browser windows, Tried also with other browsers and from the mobile, same issue. I tried to update the version of Download Manager PRO from 6.5.4 to 6.5.7 but it responds with an error here, Update failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.
If I’m going to Plugin details it shows me, Plugin not found, but it’s working and operative. I can’t understand what’s happening.

I want to use the email lock function with the files managed by the download manager plugin.
the files are used for woocommerce products in catalog mode.
I made a product page template with elementor in which I put a clickable image.
if I use the link to the type file: https://www.website.fr?wpdmdl=178&ind=152 ; the email lock does not work in guest mode
if I use the short below the image with the button template (I created a copy to modify it later), the popup appears but I cannot modify the css style.
How to do it, either to have the functionality with the direct link (opening the email lock popup if not logged in) or how to write in the CSS area so that it is taken into account and use an already existing css style (theme button style)Thank you
How to write Template?
Scenario 1.
When there is no file to download, page_link is displayed.
If there is a file to download, then download_link is displayed.Scenario 2.
When tags are HTML, display page_link.
When the tag is not HTML, download_link is displayed.Thanks!
