@dublin, you should receive a mail (to the email you used to pay at paypal) with instructions. Anyhow, if you don’t see that, please mail your order id to support@wpdownloadmanager.com or contact live support
I can’t find that. I am having lots of problems with the current version. It seems to break the WordPress themes and after applying the CSS fix which is sticked in the first post, the page and link templates layouts look different.
Thank you.
1) That seems like a lot of work for a plugin that’s supposed to have this option. Better to inform people before they buy, IMHO.
2) I see. I took out any locking and tried the link, and it is indeed preventing the download, so this works.
3) cache dir is writable
Anyway, since I wasted more than a day on this I decided to skip the locking. Maybe it’s for the better, at least wpdm gives me a statistic on how many poeple downloaded the files. Thanks
I also bought Block Hotlink, which has a serial number but I was never asked to enter it and haven’t found a way to enable it. Maybe that’s why my downloadlinks in emails is not working? Please advise, thanks.
🙂 the plugin attached with previous reply already. anyhow here is the link again:

Thanks everything ok now!
you should get reply by now, if still don’t please give me order id here, I’ll link your order with your account
I have made custom page and link templates, but they do not get applied in my package.
Also, maybe not related, the default “downloads” permalink does not work (404), as specified in the Settings.
Check http://www.robvens.com/downloads
The package link is http://www.robvens.com/download/mgc-4-3-1-voor-windows/
It seems that templates are just for links and places that the package is promoted. Is there a way to customize the appearance of the details page. For example, we want to allow individual file downloads, but there are no passwords. It looks odd to have a table with a blank column for password. Also, we do not need the download button for the zip file. Also, we’d prefer that the row for stock not appear in the other table. What’s that supposed to be for anyways?
- it happening because your theme css conflicts with bootstrap.css, can be resolve just delete some css from bootstrap.css
- delete the file: /plugins/download-manager/modules/css.php . not required anymore from WPDM Pro Xtreme ( v3.3.3 )
- select default link template or user extra class with download link tag, for example:
- [download_link btn] or
- [download_link btn btn-large] or
- [download_link btn btn-large btn-success]
here btn-lage for large button
btn-sccess for green button
similarly you can try , btn-info, btn-inverse, btn-danger , full button class reference is here http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/base-css.html#buttons

Thanks for the update. However I have some problems with it:1. The text “Email Adresse” in a widget from Wysija Newsletter plugin cannot be read anymore. Disabling the Download Manager solves the problem:2. The link text of a download package appears twice when using the “download link with icon” template:3. It is not possible to use the buttons under settings anymore:Do you have any solution for this?Due to these problems I reverted back to 3.3.2Best,Andreas
1) facebook like not showing because of js conflict, as your page already using another fb library, to resolve that issue disable other fb plugins
2) page showing dark because of css conflict with your theme, anyhow to resolve that replace [download_link] with [download_link_extended]
Thanks Shaon, for shortcodes this might work, but (as the link I provided shows) this does not work when navigating to the category page.
For example I have a category mgc, which you reach with http://www.reflektis.com/downloads/mgc.
You might reach this page also by clicking the category in the WPDM Categories Widget.
In both cases the category description is not visible and I am still looking for a way to accomplish that.
Thanks for your assistance.
yes, you can change flash player.
You were seeing download link expired and some visitor messed up with data, but i re-adjusted those now
will add tag for showing file-type, but already have tag for showing file count, its [file_count] . In link template, if you use [download_link] tag, it will show directly download link
RE #6.
To explain “wish list” #6 further – when you are in the page template and link template editor and go to create a new template, the list of shortcodes could be more aggressive. For the link template I wish I could add a shortcode for the file properties (is it a pdf, mp3, zip etc) so you know what type of file will be downloaded. This would only be an option if a package contains only one item and in my case if a package only has one item I like a direct download link from the link template so they don’t have to go to any detailed package page. If there is more than one item in the package I wish I could add a shortcode for listing how many items are in the package (a number). This helps the visitor know immediately this is a package with x “number” of files. Hope that makes it clearer.
Thanks for your response! Looking forward to future updates.
yes, there is a way.
Open: wpdm-archive-page.php
Goto line# 331
As you see:
We used the template: link-template-default.php
Template location: /plugins/download-manager/templates/
Copy “link-template-default.php” to “link-template-default-noimage.php”
Remove the image from “link-template-default-noimage.php” and save
Now at wpdm-archive-page.php#331 replace “link-template-default.php” with “link-template-default-noimage.php”
You are done!
Hi,
I am creating a two column template and when I use the icon tag it doesn’t bring up the image just a text link. You can see it here on the right side under the picture: http://69.194.230.123/~rtlogic/file-download/channel-simulator/
Can you help me fix this?
Thanks
Hi,
My users need access to my files and I can’t cope with a dead link. So I will change the link and use another download manager as long as I don’t have a solution. I would very much like to have a solution as I appreciate your download manager.
Best,
Lucas
Hi,
I have now removed the e-mail and like lock, because this changes nothing. The problem is that users cannot access the link to the download overview. Please see my page: http://divercityguides.de/2012/12/weihnachtsmomente-in-koeln/
Thank you for your help.
Lucas
The Download Manager” plugin fills a real need for organizing a library of downloadable documents on a WordPress site. I’ve tried several and this particular one has a slick look that is very attractive. That said I have a few items on my wish list for development in future versions:
1. When there are multiple file items in a Package I wish each file item could have a “version number” listed beside it on the Package Detail page. When there are multiple files, I’m not interested in the version of the Package I’m interested in seeing the version of the individual files in the Package.
2. For a Package with multiple files I wish I could have the “download count” number listed for each file in the package. I made this change manually to the code.
3. For a Package with multiple files I wish I could have the “file size” listed for each file in the package. I made this change manually to the code.
4. The Archive Page is a huge deal. This is an important feature since i think this is the ground zero for looking up documents. If you think of the Document Manager as library system the archive page is where a visitor would enter the library and search or find their document that they are looking for. I have purchased the archive page add-on and like the basic set up and look but it could use more features. One feature i wish for is an option for a direct download link to the files instead of linking to the package detail page. When a package only has one file in it, it’s a waste to go to the Package Detail page. Unless you want to write a description or more info on that file it’s just an extra click. My point is that going to the Package Detail page from the archive page package links isn’t always necessary. I wish there were an option to choose between a direct download link or going to the Package Detail page on the archive page. I made these changes manually to the archive page code but it still is not working as i’d like.
5. I’d also like the option to see the number of files in a Package listed with the Package on the archive page. I wish there was an option to list number of files in a package beside the package title and download count info.
6. The template system could use more shortcodes options for link and page templates. i.e the ability to insert file version not just package version into the template, list category or selected category IDs, file properties (is it a pdf, mp3, zip etc), list number of items in a package.
7. Better documentation for using the plugin would be helpful.
8. Support – the live chat on your site has been very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you. The response time on the forum has been pretty good. My wish and hope is that these continue. Support is important and I really hate it when the answer is always to supply log in info to wp-admin and have someone else fix it. I like it that you actually gave me the information needed to fix it myself and it was quick. Thanks and please continue to do this type of thing when possible.
Thanks!
your url is not accessible, please give me a link where you placed short-code.
Anyhow, I see most of your questions are template related, you need to edit specific template for adjusting those or need to create new link and page templates from template section
