I just activated the dropbox plugin but I noticed that when the download button is clicked, it redirects to the dropbox link.

You will not have to copy files manually to download-mamager-files dir except there are some dir write permission issue in your server.I might have mistakenly taken that to mean that what I was proposing, and what I had success with before (use ‘Import Selected Files’ to move files from an initial upload folder to the final folder), was what you were saying should be standard functionality. In fact, what you might have been referring to was the ability to FTP upload files directly into ‘download-manager-files’. To be clear, I DO have that ability. The reason I chose to upload files to a different folder first was because it was difficult/time consuming to scroll through a huge list of files in the ‘download-manager-files’ folder to find the ‘new’ ones to select for ‘Import Selected Files’.
Maybe what you are saying is that the normal procedure should involve using the CSV for the import process. Is there any place that talks in more detail about the CSV import file? After looking at it several times, I’m unclear about what I should be placing in the different fields/columns.

Topic: WPDM Archive + WPML issue

We’ve just started setting up the WPDM archive page and it is looking good so far: http://bertplantagie.com/databank/. Our website is multilingual (WPML). We’ve made the CPT downloads translatable and have translated the downloads categories and -packages (duplicates).
Something goes wrong with the archive page: when it’s loaded in the website’s default language (English) everything works fine, but when switching to another language (Dutch or German) the archive page keeps showing the “Loading” icon instead of the download packages. Please see the links below as well the attached image.

JoostHello I am a new user of WPDM and I am trying to get Amazon S3 working properly. I am using WPDM 4.2.1 and Amazon S3 Add-on 2.4.0. I am using an IAM account that has full access. The plugin works fully from the admin panel. I am able to see all my buckets, all the folders in buckets, and upload new files to buckets.
However, on the front end, files will not download giving an access denied error unless I make the file public which defeats the purpose of Amazon S3 in my case. I researched the forum and found others with the same issue and you all only told them that their API keys Access were wrong so to be proactive and prove that my keys are not wrong, I installed another plugin and linked to the same file. This plugin is properly allowing me to download the private file but WPDM Amazon S3 add-on is not letting me. It appears that your add-on is not creating a valid signature which is not allowing the file to be downloaded.

The “Download File” link is produced by another plugin and works but your download link does not work. Keep in mind I installed the other plugin AFTER not being able to get your add-on to work so it is not a plugin conflict.
Can you please look into the signature creation code your plugin is using and provide a resolution on how I can get this to work?

By the way WPDM SEARCH give me the title but not the link to download (see the attachment).My big problem is the message “Sorry, but there aren’t any posts matching your query” when I click on the voice menu of the file category “Info – moduli – mercato”, in which I have the file “Foglio mercato con svincolo.xls”

Hello did this ever come to a resolution other than the keys are wrong which they are not in my case so I assume they are not in downloader’s case either? I have the same issue where I can connect using my IAM keys from the backend to see all buckets and folders because my IAM user has Full Access but the download links will not work unless I make my files public which defeats the purpose of using S3 anyway (at least in my case). It appears the signing of the urls are not getting generating properly from the add-on?
I am using Download Manager to host all of my downloadable files, but always through direct download links in pages. For example here:

I don’t want people to be able to visit the download pages directly, as these are not styled as I want them, they don’t have the right information on and they don’t fit in the menu structure. However, Google is listing them, and the direct links are accessible:
Is there a way to block these pages completely? I only want visitors to be able to download the files where a link is embedded on a page or custom post type.

Hi, I recently updated to the latest version of download manager (free), migrated my files across and am now hitting the following problem:
when clicking a download link, I get a text/html document like so:

It appears to be the correct file, but the mimetype is wrong.
How can I fix this?
Hi I cant seem to update the WPDM Archive page plugin. The download updated-plugin-link looks like this: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/#2.4.4 and only takes me to your frontpage. No “action”. Is the link wrong or am I misunderstanding what to do then?
(And the update-notice/link doesnt look like it usually does when a plugin has an updated version.)

For locked file when user uses any unlock option, as temporary download link and the link will expire after 3 times, otherwise they will able to share the link without any limit.

I have a Problem with Email locked downloads. Sometimes when a user enters the email the download starts but not the file. It is a textdocument that says “Download link is expired. in edit package window package setting metabox, you have 2 template selection option, link template and page template. You can create or customized page template from Admin Menu Downloads Templates Page Template tab
Up until I updated the archive page yesterday I was able to search & sort downloads no problem. Now the controls are all dead and not working at all. Could you please take a look, the page is here http://pielink.net/the-library-2/

I installed the add on and i put the downloadable files in the packages. I did this with box.
It worked fine, but if somebody wants to downlaod that packages (from box) they get thisThe link you’re trying to access can’t be used to share files. Please ask the file owner to provide you with a shared link instead.
Any idea how to fix this? I didnt change a thing in box. I know that if i place a shared url, my users getting a preview which they can download. And thats not what i want. Because i have to go to box.com select the share and paste the url.

all add-on pack has lots of add-ons with additional features, but, if you want to show all packaged in a page, [wpdm-all-downloads] should work fine for you, but if you want any specific style there, there may require some customized link template, however please give me a temporary wp-admin login info, I can make one for you.

I worked out where to put the code that you gave me and I changed the code to this:

but when I click on the download url a zip file is opened that needs to be saved to the computer. The url has this at the end of the url

Thank you for your reply. I’m going to try to convince DIVI theme designer that the issue is on their side, I’ll let you know their answer.
For the moment, I have found an alternative solution with “Link template embedded”.But if I create a page with many download available (mosaic for example), this solution does not fit at all. My idea is to give access at this page only for user which gives its email. Is it a simple way to do that with all-add-on package ?
