Updated to latest version today, broke the layout I had as my default page template. Tags went way across the screen and the download link wasn’t clickable any more.
Wouldn’t update from the plugins list, so had to deactivate, remove old version then use FTP to get it across. That’s when the layouts broke. Strangely only on certain downloads not others.
Restored back to previous version from backup.
Hello,
My downloads have stopped downloading on my site. I have tried disabling plugins to see if that helped but nothing worked.
when you click the link to download – nothing happens

is it something to do with the #unlock in the url?

Hi,
How do I translate the text on the download button (class wpdm-download-button, code [download_link])? I cannot find the string in Loco Translate nor in any regular (php) file when I search for it.
Thanks,
Rob
Our site crashed yesterday to the WP 5.5 debug mode after encountering an error in Download Manager. I was able to restore the site by deactivating Download Manager. I installed the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper that was suggested in the following article.
Helpdesk Article
I understand that WP has a fix for the problem that will be released on 9/2/2020. Here is the text of the diagnostic email if it is helpful.
Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Download Manager.
First, visit your website (https://irch.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://irch.com/wp-login.php) and check for any visible issues.
Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.
If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.
To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.
When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 5.5
Current theme: Divi Child (version 1.0.0)
Current plugin: Download Manager (version 5.1.20)
PHP version 7.2.33

Hi – I have upgraded to wordpress 5.5 and find the download links no longer function.
I have tried downgrading to wordpress 5.4.2 but the problem persists which suggests the problem is not caused by wordpress 5.5.
Is there a known issue?
I’m using woocommerce to sell three services. Each service requires the purchaser to download files. I want to be able to securely include download links in the ‘thank you for your purchase’ email but I can’t find the code to do it. Am I missing something as I can’t see this issue on the forum either.
Download button links are not working.
Actually there is a /download/# at the end of the link of every document
I have installed version 5.1.20 and wordpress 5.5
