Hi I am just following up on this issue. Please advise as soon as possible.
Please note that this issue is not limited just to my site. Just do the following steps on your demo site:
1) Change download limit to 5 downloads for the user role.
2) Go to a download button for a product and click the same download button 5 times in a row, and then click refresh. You will see that you have used up all of your available downloads.
This is clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. Please advise on the status of the fix.
Thanks.
Hi,
Have you checked this option Downloads > Settings > Basic > Access setting > When the user is not allowed to download > Hide Everything
. it is based on the Allow Access
option. please check and let me know.
Thanks.
First, due to long delays in getting help, I to avoid the conflict with WPDM blocking one of my theme utilities, had to recode the page to use another utility (present my data with a different look). This took 2 days. Our site was functionally ‘down’ for two weeks before we decided to take this step and could schedule the work.
Now, FYI, in the UI I was previously disabling fonts and CSS, running Bootstrap 4.
I did not test disabling Bootstrap JS because I did not see your message until I finished my recode. I looked immediately before beginning, so it crossed after I was comitted to another strategy.
I’m really disappointed that the #1 plugin of this type is giving such poor service. We’ve invested many days deploying downloads with your plugin so we are captive now.
We’ve had MORE trouble with your plugin than all others combined. Starting with the security hole that let our site get hacked. I understand that sort of thing happens. But we do not believe you should advertise support as a feature of your pro version– it takes too long.
Did anyone ever log in to the site with the credentials I supplied? We use 2FA (everyone does now– you should really supply an email address) and I unlocked it for your support. Seeking support only added weeks to our be offline.
i’d prefer to mark this as “ABANDONED” rather than “RESOLVED”. Nothing was fixed.
Thanks
Hi,
For this, you can check these two docs,
[wpdm_packages] – WP_Query in a shortcode for download manager packages
[wpdm_all_packages] – List all downloads in tabular format in a page
Thanks.
Hi,
Please follow these steps if it helps you,
1 ) Deactivate and delete the old version. You won’t lose any data.
2 ) Download latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3 ) Install the latest version and activate the license key.
To enable the auto-update, login to your WPDM account from the Downloads > Settings > License
tab. If login is successful and you have an active subscription then you can update the future releases right from your plugins page.

Hi,
Have you checked Allow Access
option from the package settings? It will give you a chance to restricting some visitors to the particular package. Also, you can check Downloads > Settings > Access Setting <strong>When user is not allowed to download:</strong>
option. please check.
Thanks.

Hi,
Yes, it is possible, if you are using WPDM PRO, you can do it from Downloads > Templates > link-templates/page-templates
, you can clone
them or create a new one. and thus you can edit them or use in your own package settingspage-templates/link-templates
.
Furthermore,
you can follow the link below documentation,
by default, you are using link-template-default.php
for link template and page-template-default.php
for the page template. As documentation, you have to copy the file in the theme directory naming a folder called download-manager
, then paste it in tpls>page-templates
for page template or tpls>link-templates
for link template. and edit them as your own requirements.
Thanks.

The messed up pages is gone, but I don’t want the login blog which redirects to a profile page which I don’t want either (username/password appears three times on https://beta.chmse.com/membership-categories/). And now page https://beta.chmse.com/membership-categories/ has HUGE pdf icons on two of the downloads and I can’t get rid of them.
The free version was perfect. It installed and configured quickly and with no issues. Only reason I opted for the Pro version for batch uploads, which has not been completed.
On all downloads page, I just use packages block using wpdm Gutenberg plugin ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/gutenberg-blocks/ ), if you go to edit page, you will see that. And created the following link template to use with the grid view on all downloads page:
And for package details page, I’ve edited your page template, replaced [file_list]
with [file_list_extended]
:
As they are PDF, activate ImageMagick on your server, you will see the preview of the first page of the PDF files.
So, automatic switching available, but you can achieve that using some javascript and HTML, add 2 buttons and use both [file_list] ( list view ) and [file_list_extended] ( grid view ), and show/hide them with button click as list and grid view switching. You need to do that editing the page template.
@abrafac, as it is now, it will show only file type icon, however, we shall add custom icon support with the next update, but, now you can show featured image by adding parameter thumb=1
with the shortcode. But, if you need an immediate fix, please get the attached file and put it in /plugins/download-manager/tpls/
dir replacing the old one:

WordPress Newsletters and AutoResponder Plugin will help you to notify all subscribers about new posts, downloads, and updates. So, when you are creating a new package it will notify you. if you are facing the problem, Please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking.
Thanks.
Hi,
Its the same issue as your demo page:
https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/wpdm-package/social-locks/
After you push the download button you hardly can read the next page, even worse on a mobile phone. But after you push the like button I don’t see any download page or file downloaded.
And what happens when somebody allready likes my page or downloads a second file?
Thanks!
Guido

Hi,
1. Generally, when you upload multiple files, it creates a zip download file. However, you can upload it from Attach dir with a zip file not uploading multiple files. you can use other options too.
2. You can disable the download button by giving the access role, and you can also check the option Downloads > Settings > Basic > When the user is not allowed to download
. Thus you can hide the button
Thanks.
Hi
I have the memberships plugin installed and want to limit users to how many downloads they receive each given month.
I have the download limit plugin installed and number of downloads set, but users can still download as many docs as they want.
I can see users set as ‘Subscribers’ in the membership plugin but they are not set as subscribers in the Downloads plugin and I’m guessing this is why they are not being limited to downloads.
Help gratefully received
