Adding multiple files. Bulk downloads (Zip files) are allowed, but stop displaying individual download links. I have set my global settings to allow individual downloads, but it does not appear when adding individual packages to allow downloads.
I am running 4.9.7 with WordPress 5.2.2.Any Page Template which uses the [file_list] template tag has stopped showing individual download links. I have a global setting to allow individual downloads, and even if I additionally set an individual package to allow the downloads, it doesn’t show up.
Interestingly, the [file_list_extended] syntax does show individual download links.
In the attached image you can see the [file_list] tag at top (no download buttons) and the [file_list_extended] tag below it (yes download buttons).
I appreciate any help. I am running 4.9.7 on WordPress 5.2.2. Thank you!

Yes, you can easily remove the link from package title.
Clone the link template you are using ( looks like a Call To Action template ) from Downloads Templates page. Then replace the following part,
<a href="[page_url]">[title]</a>with just
[title]and save it.Then use this custom link template in your shortcode.

I have a site that is filled with nothing but multi-file packages and I have a custom template assigned to all of them that offers a button for each file in the list. But since updating the latest version on Saturday, those have disappeared. I’ve even tried the Default template but it’s not there either. End users have no way of downloading the files – please look into ASAP.

Hi,
You have to create orders as a guest ( without logging in ) and then assign the order to your old clients. There is no bulk approach to do it. For each customer create one order.
1 ) Before checking out make sure you have added all packages that you want your clients to have access to.
2 ) Just click the pay now button.
3 ) The go to your Downloads Orders page and complete order and payment status from order details.
3 ) Assign the order to your client using their user id.

Just install it as a plugin from Plugins Add New Upload. After activation you will find the QR Code in Downloads Settings API page. Scan the QR using WPDM iOS app to connect.

About 2 weeks ago we log the individual download links that were on a Package Page. The “Download Package” is still available, however we can no longer download the package contents individually. I have attached screenshots of our settings.
Any help is much appreciated.

I’m using Woocommerce Memberships (WCM) to restrict content on my site. While there is an option to restrict Downloads in the WCM UI, it is ineffective – documents are still downloadable.
Using the WPDM Package Settings > Allow Access, I can select user roles, but that is not enough. I would like to be able to restrict content using the WCM rules.
Is there someplace I can insert a hook or something that will follow the WCM rules?

wordpress + woocomerce+memberships+wpdm pro
So all was working two days ago until my site went live (at this time site moved from temp url to real one – not sure if this caused issue – hosting helpdesk verified all URLs transferred).
I went to add a new download for a new post and on previews and test it says “download error”. At one point it said, “this is embarrassing…” but this was fixed by hosting.
Please help I upload documents in stamper for downloads and previews are failing. I need to have watermarked documents for download and need to get this working.
Do you want to replace the download button with a link to the pacakge details page? Yes, it is possible. You can add the details page link with the package title too. Could someone explain to me how I could click on the order link sent in an email, 5 test transactions ago, could produce an order details page with the current order ID and downloads? When I try it that way, I’m able to download the most recent order. Please see the attached screenshot. I’m trying to figure out if this is a caching issue. Can’t find how the order/cart is stored (cookie or some other means) so that I can make changes to settings in WP-Rocket to “never cache.” I’ve tried never caching /orders/, /cart/, and /cancel/ which seemed to help. But I’ve never been able to place an order and download in the same session from the order details page – always produces a “download link is expired” message. Only able to download in the scenario above, some time after the initial sale.
Both sets of credentials are still valid if you’d like to go in and take a look. Basically I need to understand why so much of these transactions is being stored or cached, I think that might be the solution to why I keep getting expired link messages. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have a free version. Is there any way to generate a link that directly downloads the file (keeping tracks of download/view hit). Actually links takes users to a download page, not to the file.thanks

Unfortunately it does seem to wor. The download counter does show three downloads, but the file size remains empty. Putting in the file size manually is not an option for me. We are talking about more than 1,000 files…

Hi,
We are setting up WP Download Manager and have the site up and running with a number of sample download packages.
We are setting up the site so all packages are only accessible by subscribers and above (so no logged in users can see or download the packages). We have done this via Downloads > Settings > Basic and set the access settings to “When user is not allowed to download – hide everything”.
We were originally using the Prime theme and this seemed to work but have now purchased and installed the Jumpstart theme. When we activate this theme all of the packages are viewable for non-logged in users (they still can’t download the package).
How can I use the Prime theme and ensure no packages can be seen or downloaded unless the user is logged in?

Hi
I need to have a page with all downloads on but then allow the user the ability to select which files to download.
Then have ask for the email address only once to be able to down load the chosen files.
I have enable the Single File Download option on the download page but for some reason it doesnt seem to make any difference and just has 1 download button for all the files

I am NOT WPDM Pro Support
Just to let you know, the base WPDM Pro plugin allows this by default..
You’ll need to create a page with the following shortcode on it:
[wpdm_frontend]
This is where the upload tool(s) will be..
Then just go to:
Downloads -> Settings -> Frontend Access
There you’ll see where you can set options for the user side of the plugin (Such as login page, register page, etc..)
Set the the Frontend Uploader Page to the page with that short code on it.
Set the Allowed User Roles to Create Packages From Front-end to add all the roles that you want to allow to upload.
You’ll also want to make sure all the settings on that page are correct for what you want, but do make sure to verify:
When Someone Creates a Package:
[ <Drop Down List ]When File Already Exists:

I am using the shortcode [categories] in a custom link template. It shows the categories (as hyperlinks) that each download belongs to on my page. This is as it should be. When you click on any of the category links, you are taken to a new page which shows all the downloads belonging to that category. This is also how it should be. The link that are generated by the shortcode [categories] is formatted in this way: “https://my.domain.org/download-category/mycategory/”
The problem is that the category page that is generated is not formatted correctly. It just displays the the downloads as a list of hyperlinks with the document title as the text. I need to format these generated pages. I do not see a template that is assigned to these pages so that I can clone and / or format it.
What is the template or .php file that I can change to format the categories pages the way I need?
