Hello, Mathew Hunter
I hope you are doing well and thank you for reaching out to us.
WPDM simply links the user to google drive so a user can,
– Explore Google Drive File
– Upload Files directly to Google drive from your site admin section
– Attached file with download manager package
– Delete Google drive file
If you update file in google drive, user always will get the updated files, no need to update in WPDM manually.
Unfortunately, what you are asking is not possible right now. You have to do it manually.
Regards
Could you please share a screenshot of the code where the ‘(By | February 20, 2015)’ appears?
Hello, jonnylander
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the inconvenience.
– kindly make sure that all plugins are up-to-date.
– Switch to a default WordPress theme temporarily to see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, the problem might be related to your current theme.
– Deactivate all plugins temporarily except WPDM and see if that solves the problem. Then, activate the plugins one by one to see which plugin is causing the problem.
Let me know if the problem still persists after following the steps mentioned above.

[file_list] shortcode is a part of Download Manager but in this page, [wpdm_tree]
shortcode has been used and it’s working fine. What I have found is there is a missing pdf icon for this file Tax Exempt Form
.

Hello, Roco Montgomery
Hope you are well and thanks for contacting us.
Yes, you are right, file should reside here wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files
. For uploading the file you may follow this documentation.
You can add your files using ftp to the download-manager-files. Unfortunately, there is no other solution right now. We will update this REST API add-on soon.
Regards
Given that the issue does not pertain to the Download Manager. However, I have identified one error previously mentioned (check the screenshot). Please prioritize resolving this issue as it may potentially address the overarching problem. If not, consider temporarily switching the theme to identify whether the issue persists.
