Hope you are well. The advance access control add-on is working properly with PHP 8 version above. I have tested in our testing site. I think from your site debug mode is on, so this type of warning is coming. Please kindly check.

And please use [download_link] template tag in your used template, thus I hope the appearance settings that has been set by you, will be effected from Downloads > Settings > User Interface > Color/Download Button.
