If you want to manually update your WPDM plugin, please, follow these necessary steps,

1 ) Deactivate and delete the old version. You won’t lose any data.
2 ) Download latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3 ) Install the latest version and activate the license key.

The auto-update has been temporarily disabled due to a huge server load. We will reactive it soon.

And if you are building from the templates section in Downloads > Templates, if you update or delete the plugin. and again install the plugin you will not lose data.
