First step to check, I have updated your plugin to the latest one. But the errors still remain, I have checked that, there are approximately 46 plugins installed in your site. I think, there might be a conflict somewhere. For #1, For shortcode, related package link-template will be shown then. however, you can change them too from package settings.

#2, For only showing featured image, you should use only featured image tag in your link template.

and you can choose both the media library and select files, I think select file is a safe option. but it is your requirements.
