For the clicking the message button issue, Have you run these tests too, check your browser console if any error appears there. Then, it may have a conflict between your plugins or theme. please enable/disable other plugins for checking, you may also switch the theme to another for checking if these steps don’t work, if possible, please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.

We have not such a feature right now, but we have such filter hooks, please put it in your theme functions.php, if you need anyone,
if you want you can change these restrictions using the following filters.

add_filter('wpdm_review_package_access_required', function (){ return false; } );
add_filter('wpdm_review_purchase_required', function (){ return false; } );
