Hope you are well. The import procedure is quite different, you can not import directly exported CSV file from WPDM Export/Import feature. You can also use the WordPress export-import feature, from Tools > import/export. There you will find Downloads. select that and perform your export-import action. please check and let me know

Now, please tell me, if you Keep current template as it is provided with the active theme option, it will inherit your theme taxonomy.php file, or if we make taxonomy-wpdmcategory.php file. But it will not same design as it now, but can be adjusted, but I hope it will resolve your sorting or order issue. please let me know
