Please go to Downloads > Templates section, then you can clone the Call to Action 4 template , from template edit option and then editor remove [download_count] template tag, then save the template and use this template in your package settings. I hope you have understood now. Please check and let me know.

Please check which template you are using from your package settings and go to Downloads > Templates section, then you can create a new template or also able to clone the existing templates , from template editor remove [download_count] template tag. For These packages are for any user who is logged in, to be able to download for enabling this you have to set Allow Access option for restricting. You have set all pdf to one folder and attach to the package. I will suggest you, please create new folder/folders for your PDFs, you can also categorized PDFs by folder naming, then attach as dir the folder to the package, thus I hope solve one of your issue. And enabling single file download not whole files, you may customize it by creating/cloning a template from Downloads > Templates section , then remove the main download template tag, keep only the [file_list] template, please kindly check the process and let me know, if it resolves your issue.

For all packages global settings, we have this When user is not allowed to download as I image attached,

Hope you are well. If you are modifying core files you can’t backup the code, however, you can backup code files /plugins/download-manager/src/{ComponentDir}/views/ from this directory to your active theme. For that, please follow this doc, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/.
And for adjusting text that appears on the button or changing the name of categories, please adjust those from your package settings and categories menu as I image attached,
