Hi,

I need to sort my files by name (A-Z), but can’t find anywhere in the shortcode how to do that.
Right now, it seems to sort from Z to A when showing all categories (folders), and I’m not sure what sort order it uses when showing just one category (single files.)

Could somebody help me with this, please?

I also wonder how to show two categories in the tree folder view, whenever I choose a category, all folders disappears and it’s just a list of the files.

Best regards,
Jessica

Hello Jessica,

Hope you are well. Can you please elaborate more on your issue? Are you using this add-on, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-extended-short-codes/ and [wpdm_tree] shortcode? Please kindly check and let me know.

Thank you and regards

Yes, thank you! I have installed WPDM Extended Shortcodes and am using [wpdm_tree] to show a list of available downloads on my page for the visitors.
Ideally, I would want the visitors to see only a few of the categories in folders, but the most important feature is to make them appear in a logical order (for the visitor.)

Thanks!

You can use the shortcode like this, [wpdm_tree category="category-slug"], please check the add-on details too.

Thank you

Thanks for your reply, but the problem is not to make the files appear, it’s that they are displayed in a random order.
How do I sort them A-Z by title or category slug, please?

I want to use something like this:

[wpdm_tree category=”category-slug” order_by=”title”]

Thanks,
Jessica

Please kindly check the add-on details too. You can do it orderby="title" or cat_orderby="name" adding to your wpdm_tree shortcode parameter.

Thank you and regards

Hello, I hope you can help,

None of the files I have within download-manager can be crawled.
I have nothing within the robottxt file that would block them. And all the download links are set to unmask within the settings.

Google search console is telling me that there is a no-follow attribute on the pages, but as I have mentioned earlier, there are no attributes applied within the robots file.

Many thanks

Nick
