Please see https://www.afmasymposium.co.za/news/ – I have a list of all my Mailchimp e-newsletters and wanted to know if there is a way to link directly from my WPDM upload to a specific Mailchimp e-newsletter URL (as you would upload a file, just in this case there is no file, just a URL). I am using WPDM Pro as there might be pdfs for download in future as well that will be added to this specific list. For now I’m using a page redirect plugin when uploading my Mailchimp e-newsletter to this page list.
Thus I wanted to know if WPDM can link to a URL as there is no actual file to upload.
I would to use short code for package table –
Where It will display title, thumb, categories, download count, create & update date, download

Yes you can do it WPDM Pro.
For that you have to edit the link template that will be used in the shortcode template parameter. You have to remove the link from the link template.

In the link template toolkit that you are using for that page, you were using [featured_image] template tag. I have replaced that with [thumb_300x300] it is showing the medium thumbnails.

It would be good to understand how the unique downloads are supposed to work. On the image link below, we are selecting ‘Count unique downloads only’ and this is coming back with ‘Showing downloads 1 – 30 of total 5’ – which makes no sense.

It would be good for us to understand what the unique downloads are sorting by?
Also, the subscribers list is showing the people who have signed up for downloads, but in the download history in Stats, it shows everyone as guest apart from 3 people, me, the client and SEO agency.
Can you help us with these, please?

i found myself the issue : the correct path in the custom theme have to be : download-manager/link-templates/link-template-panel.php

1. I have installed add on for Google Drive, configure API, Secret ID, Key already and also verify Domain with Google Search Console already but on WPDM when click to connect Google Drive it pop up to let me select account to connect then nothing happen

Glad to see you again. Sorry for the delay. Here are the answers of your queries.
Added a new link template new_link_template_panelby copying existing for changes.
1. Filter by publication type and keyword is not possible. You can filter packages by custom taxonomy terms
2. Set the link template there image will not be cropped.
3. Load More button is not possible but I have added async=1 in shortcode that will load like load more button when pagination button is clicked.
yes possible 90% but for that it needs custom styling in link template and also need to remove the some info like download count and size from. link template

If you are using categories for those packages, For categories hierarchy, giving access to a certain category for a particular role you have to set from the edit category option, then you have to make empty for the Allow Access option or have to give a particular role on it like as I image attached or as usual for the select member option too,
because
Package Access = Package Access + All Category Access = All Visitors + Author = All Visitors
and Package Access = Package Access empty + Category Access(Author) = Author
or Package Access = Package Access(Author) + Category Access(Author) = Author

I tried that option, but it still directly downloads the piece…doesn’t seem to be properly working. But, I don’t want to do this sitewide anyway…just for a few certain resources. Is there any way to just get the link to the PDF so I can use something like the Page Links To plugin to have those resources open directly to the PDF in a new tab just like a PDF would from the media gallery in WP.

What do you mean? If I import from Media-Library secured download-links work already?
How is syntax for .htaccess, so that wordpress and its plugins can handle the files and only direkt downlaoding for users is forbidden?

Direct download links are not controlled by WPDM. You can secure that by editing .htaccess file of your server.

In our testing environment with the latest WPDM, the adding link is working properly. I am unable to visit the admin as it show invalid username or password.

In your video I found that, it shows invalid link because link is not valid. Make sure you add total link with https://www.

Also how do i change the font so that it doesnt say download, Alternatively, is there a way to link the download onto a photo or a seperate button so that when they click the functionality of the button is the same (no redirection to a seperate download page)

Hello, on the iPhone when I click on download a file through the shortcode, it opens the link in another tab (even though I didn’t turn on the option to open in another tab). Previously, it appeared a screen to download files, after the last update this is gone.
