Topic: Download link expired
Suddenly my users are receiving a message “File not found or Downlaoad Link Expired!” (Note typo in the word download, not sure if that means anything.) It does not happen every time you click the link though, it happens about half the time.
Hello!
I’m building a page for a friend of mine, who ist a professional voice actoress – so a working way of including MP3’s into the page is important. But there are some problems I can’t get solved:
(1) When I include a shortcode into my page with the Link Template “With MP3 Preview” active – there is no MP3 Preview as seen here: http://sina.wirmachenesbesser.de/ If the template is called “with MP3 Preview” I would expect some kind of Play-Button to listen to the MP3 right away.
(2) On the actual Download-Page the MP3-Playback doesn’t work either – as seen here: http://sina.wirmachenesbesser.de/download/sprecherin-sina-begruessung/ – the Player brings up a load error. Very strange: the download works, and if i insert the actual Link to the file – instead of just uploading it – even the Playback works. So my guess would be, that the Plugin generates a wrong Link to the File when it’s uploaded. Finding and inserting the correct Link to the File sure is a workaround – but nevertheless the upload, playback and download of MP3 should work properly.
Your help is very much appreciated!

Topic: Download Link Expired
I am getting download link expired when using the email lock, any one any thoughts 🙂
Regards
Alanability to have no navigation in category view in a link template
and ability to use form elements like select menu to choose downloads by category in link templatesUsing the default shortcode [download_link] outputs a link with class=”wpdm-download-link wpdm-download-locked [btnclass]”
Note the brackets.
If I try to add a class [download_link btn btn-large]. The shortcode does not execute.
I’ve created a test package containing two files. I want a post to show the download links to all files in the test package without linking to a separate download page. How can I do this?
Topic: V4 – expire_date problem
I found the expire_date field under custom fields. I have 2 issues though:
1.) I can’t figure out the correct format to put the date in, whatever date I put in, I get “Download was expired on January, 1970”. Ive tried DD/MM/YYYY and YYYY/MM/DD, never values seem to be recognized correctly, the package is simply expired.
2.) With the expire_date set, does this prevent you from downloading individual files? Currently it doesn’t seem to be and that is a problem for me. I need to expire the bundled link and the individual files in the package, how can this be accomplished? Thanks
I am using WordPress 3.8.0 and Download Manager 4.0.0. I setup a single category and package with a file locked with email lock. When inserting the shortcode in a page [wpdm-all-packages] and I view the test page at http://www.acumum.com/library-test/ you can see that the entry name is corrupted and when checking Firebug console I see a script Syntax Error that I tracked down to the following:
DownloadLink() in functions.php inserts the page code for the ShortCode which includes script.
It appears as if the WordPress Page Filter add line-break tags in just the wrong places to corrupt the output just enough to make it unusable.I checked about how to disable these filters for just your shortcodes but without success… am I the only person with this issue?
I can’t disable the filters globally for all pages as I would have to reformat all pages… there must be another way.I am using 3.3.8 Pro. The download link uses a unique masterkey in the URL (I like this!). Is there anyway to use that masterkey in the URL in the “View” package URL instead of exposing the package name? If I have a package named ABC123, someone might guess the next package ABC1234 when I don’t want them to.
I would like to have some packages not require any password, but not be easily visible to everyone. I would like to share a fairly random/unique URL to the download page. Is this possible?
Hello, I’m trying to create a new Link Template and would like to put a link on a custom image, but in the html “a” tag, when I add the variable [download_url] it provides me an invalid-link (instead, a text file is downloaded with this message : Download link is expired or not valid. Please get new download link.). [page_link] and [page_url] direct me to a wrong page too.
What do I have to do?Hello,
I should present you what I would like to do, I want to be sure that I can do that with your plugin (which seem already wonderful !).
Is it possible to do that :
– Make a library of files (from the back end by admins)
– Users logged in can add some files to their selection or favorites (like a cart)
– Then the user can review his selection (remove some files, check…) on a specific page (like cart page)
– Finally, the user has the option either to download a package (containing his selection) or to send a link by mail to someone redirecting to a page which will download the selection
It’s not a difficult thing I want to make, but It would be a great help !
With the features I’ve seen on the website, I’m not sure I can completely do that…
Thanks for reading,
PS : This is actually called Digital Asset Management. I know it exists already on different platforms.
Cheers;
