I’m using Download Manager Pro 4.1.2 with the Avada theme. I also have the latest version of WordPress installed.
Here’s my issue: I’ve created about 200 packages on my site (which is an internal site not publically available). I created a custom page template and everything works fine. If you click on any of the packages listed on my custom page, you can access and download the file (package) as expected. However, if you do a site search to find the document, when you click on the link you’re presented with a page that displays the document name, but you are not able to download the file. Please see the attached screenshot. This problem has been happening for a long time! I’ve submitted this question to the forum before, but never got an answer.
To try and resolve the issue, I copied the contents of my custom page template to the 1col-ex-autdio.php template file, but this did not correct the problem. Other than going into each individual package (over 200 of them) and setting the Link Template and Page Template properties, how can this be fixed?
This is important as most users on my site located their documents (packages) by searching for them.
Hello,
I have a big problem with Internet Explorer and Amazong S3 plugin. When the user clicks on an Amazon S3 link in wp download manager, then it always ask to save without extension. It ask save as “MySetup” instead to ask save as “MySetup.exe” This problem is not with common local files in wp download manager.
I just installed the latest version of the download manager and the Form Add-On
1. problem: I created a test download package and locked it with an easy form, which is just asking for an email address. Clicking on the test download opens a popover with the form. I enter an email address and click on send. So far, so good.
Now a new page is loaded. When I now klick on the download, a text-File with the name “link expired” is downloaded, but not the file…2. problem: the popover is not correctly displayed. it does not “lay over” the rest of the page. (See screenshot)
I upgraded my install to 2.7, recreated all my categories and added some downloads. It shows the “Permalink: <PROTOCOL>://<DOMAIN>/<WP_DIRECTORY>/blog/download/<SLUG>/ Edit View File Get Shortlink”, however when I go to the URL it shows “Page not found We’re sorry, but we can’t find the page that you’re looking for. Perhaps searching will help.”

Hi,
2 Questions please.
1/ I have download the WPDM Directory Add-on and all is ok except i don’t know which shortcode i need to have 3 or 4 columns.
Like your demo archive page : http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page/ where we have 3 columns of packages.Could you please give me the shortcode i need to do exactly the same ?
Here is actually the shortcode i have (but haven’t my 3 columns): [wpdm-archive cols=”3″ button_style=”default” link_template=”link-template-panel” category=”mobiles,fixe,internet,sav”]
2/ Where i could found and download a french package language to translate download manager and WPDM Directory Add-on.
Thanks.

Topic: Pre-sales questions
I have been testing your free product today, but prior to purchasing your Pro product and add-ons I would like to have the following questions answered please:
Technical requirements:
1) on this current project, all downloadable content will be available at no charge for site members, but not visitors. Visitors can see and click content download buttons/links, but client would prefer that visitors be directed to a custom landing page url (which is more user-friendly), rather than to standard wp-login page.
2) ability to log all downloads by the WP user ID.
3) button templates – I am using Bootstrap and FontAwesome currently, and need to be able to be able to add classes to the download links to keep buttons consistent with balance of site.
4) are Downloads/download packages a Custom Post Type? i.e. – downloads are managed separately from standard WP Media Post Types.Licensing questions:
1) can user purchase Pro version and later upgrade to Developer for difference in price?
2) additional support after 1st year – what is the cost as a percentage of initial software purchase and 1st year support price? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Regards, Mark
Hello,
I just wanted to use the password lock on a specific file. But insted of getting the request for a password when I click on the download button I get a link to a .txt file called invalid-link.txt with the message. “Download link is expired or not valid. Please get new download link.”
The cache dir is writable..
I use: Download Manager Pro 3.3.8 and WP 3.9.1
Please let us know what to do next…
I have a client that wants to use this so that their employees can download weekly schedules, project schedules and employee manuals.
What I’d like to do is set it up so that anytime a weekly schedule is added, it sends an email to their employee list with a link to download. Is this possible in the Pro version or do I need to use WPDM Newsletter (which I already purchased) to do it?
If its possible, can you please guide me on how to set it up? Seems pretty simple.
I have the following link template below and after I upgraded to 4.1.2 the download button does not display in the file list. I needed to downgrade back to 4.1.0 to get the download link to come back. What can I do to fix this or is it a bug?
<!– WPDM Link Template: FILE LIST DISPLAY –>
<div class=”panel panel-default”>
<div class=”panel-heading”><b>Download</b></div>
[file_list]
</div>Hello,
I like to not use any page template. So when I’ve included a package via link template in a page or post I want my subscribers to download the package directly, not being redirected to any page template. Is this possible – and if yes, how to do?
Thanks
Heiner
