Hi!
I need to modify link-template-default-icon.php
I want to have the media-heading in h4, but I want that the link goes to download-link instead of page-link.
I suppose that I have to modify the shortcode [page_link], but I don’t know how can I do that.
Any help, please?
[icon]
[page_link] I want to replace page_link with download_link, but I need to preserve h4 title
[download_link] [file_size] [download_count]
I do not have the email templates at all in any of the menus. I see downloads. there is a template section there for links and pages, but not for emails. Also there is no email menu. I have only Manage packages, add new, buik import, categories, templates, subscribers, stats, and settings.
Please help.
I removed the newsletter plugin and uploaded it again, still no difference, I cannot save newsletter templates. I also need the email field for [download_link_extended] fixed still.. This is going on over a week with no resolve now. Can we please get this fixed asap. Thanks.
The download links dont work. They do nothing!!!!
If the name of the Arabic section gives a long link
If the name of the Arabic section gives a long link
I hope that does not make the link takes the name of the section, but figures

Hi Shaon,
this is my download page: http://www.cashmatic.it/download/
i need to upload a package (for tracking purposes) that will be direct linked to a button in the site, but i don’t want it will be shown in the download page. Basically i need a “hidden” download.
It is possible? How?
When you check why newsletters are not saving can you also check why [download_link_extended] email field is a mess, the submit button doesn’t even show on the page.
it only will be possible for public downloads, you can use like this:
<a href="[download_url]">[icon]</a>
in your link template
That’s not what I meant 🙂
I can create a template on Downloads > Templates > Page templates. When I upload a document, I can choose Page Template and Link Template. I want to change default Page Template from “Single Column, Extended, AudioPack” to one of my own templates.
In Downloads > Settings > Display Settings > Page Template (which you refer to), none of these options show.
I see that the custom fields are for something else.
What I would like to do is have “country” as a required field to receive a download link by email, as well as their name.
Please advise.
Hello,
I would like the [icon] shortcode to link to the download URL (such as what the [download] shortcode does, but showing the icon).
Is there a parameter I can add to this shortcode?
Or where in the php files is it so I can change it?
thanks
fabien
yes, you can add the link of pdf in package description to open, attach one with package file to download, or send a temporary wp-admin login info to support@wpdownloadmanager.com, support team will create a sample for you
I tried to change templates by editing the default template to include [download_link_extended] but when I do this my facebook like show up blank and my add to cart button becomes a buy now text link that goes directly to pay pal.
I have guest check out disabled but it is still showing when checking out, how do I add a sign up button?
I set up directory add on and have a page set up http://dearestdebi.com/patterns when someone clicks on a download link a window pops up with the required actions to take but then closes right away.. the login you have used before is still active.
Hi Shaon, thanks I got it, didn’t know what it was “remote url field”. Now one more issue to get what the customer wants. Is it possible to have a link to download the pdf and another link to display the pdf?
Best Regards Luis.
Shaon – Can you please amplify … what short-code specifically do you use? It would be nice if you put together a tutorial for “how to make the home page template” on your demo/sample link. Great plugin – but for the general/junior user it is not obviously clear how to fully use
Thanks!
Create link tmeplate using following code:
<div class="btn btn-default">
[icon]<b>[title]</b><br>
[download_link]
</div>
Temp admin login credentials have been emailed. In further investigating this issue, I have determined that not only do I not have access to the Download Manager admin screen, the links to a couple of my documents are broken and the user gets a “file does not exist” error message. I will need to restore a backup if this issue is not quickly resolved. Some of these files are time-sensitive documents that must be accessible to my users, and I have new documents to upload. Please advise as to the status …. Thank you.
if you want to use custom url , make a link tmeplate like this: <a href="your-url-here">[title]</a>

you need to create a link template without [download_count] tag, more details: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/docs/integrated-templates/
Currently, any downloads which are passed through WP Download Manager are corrupted; the resulting *.zip is detected as being “incomplete” by OS X. I have reuploaded the files in question, attempted to use direct-linking instead of the regular built-in file management, and switched file formats, but the issues persists. It seems that WP Download Manager itself is corrupting any archive it processes. Here is a link to the site in question: http://coreyjmahler.com/ and here is a page with a download link: http://coreyjmahler.com/2013/10/24/airport-utility-5-6-1-on-os-x-10-9-mavericks/.
Hi,
When the download button is clicked, the email lightbox is not displaying properly. It’s fading in with the background.
Could you please advise?

I upgraded to WordPress 3.7.1 yesterday and now no longer have access to the Download Manager via the WP Admin dashboard. In previous versions of WordPress, the link for Download Manger was located on the left with the other management tools, but after upgrade I can’t access it. All the download areas on my site are still working, but I can’t add new files and create new packages – or manage any of the files. Any advice on how to fix this issue?
Hi,
We’re having the same problem with our installation. Everything else working absolutely fine, but there’s no Description in the data array. Here’s what’s being output at the moment in the download popup $data.
Array ( [id] ► 9 [title] ► Test File [description] ► [category] ► N; [file] ► Lighthouse.jpg [password] ► [download_count] ► 0 [access] ► member [show_counter] ► 0 [quota] ► 0 [link_label] ► Download [icon] ► download_down_arrow.png )
Is there a uniform answer to this, or would you need to look at our configuration?
Thanks,
Ben.
if you want to make fields mandatory you will need wpdm form builder add-on. please send me your url where you using it, so that I can check the message
