Could any of you good folk tell me how to do a custom template in css I expect I just want to have an icon selected from the stock icons as normal and when it is pressed enable a [download_link]
Many Thanks
Alan
thanks a lot!
Sorry, didn’t see it !
Should I need only to replace the download-manager-4.0.4.zip files in my FTP, right ?
Same issue with me, category templates not working.
Get the template id listed in a table instead of the downloads
Thanks,
Debbie
I have my template set-up where the PDF is downloaded directly from the page where the link is using the following:
[icon] [title]
This is perfect for single downloads. I would also like to create one that display all the downloads in a category the same way.
I’m just stuck on how to accomplish this.
sent a few emails to support & haven’t heard back. please see support emails.
even when i turn off all locks on my download packages, all of the download links go to 404.
thanks again for your help!
I have built a few templates to have my download open in a new window.
but I when it shows on my website it doesn’t show up right.
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Its doing it on the Brochures and Read Me links.
THank you
To be clear, what I’m trying to do is modify the icon size of the packages. For example, if I have three packages that are all pdf files, I want the default pdf icon to be reduced in size. I’m not able to achieve this currently. Here’s my code. Please help…
[thumb_10x10]

[download_link]
Hi Shaon,
i have the same problem as many users before. i used the free version and everything worked fine. Then i wanted to make packages with multiple files. So paid for WPDM PRO. now i have this problem with the data pages. I want my download links only to appear on password protected sites (because of copy right reasons). Now with WPDM Pro my downloads aren’t protected anymore, because of those data pages. This is a huge problem for me.
I read your explantions (integrated templates) many times and tried nearly all of those templates. But still i don’t know how to get rid of those data pages. Please help me! I tried my best! Can you explain exactly how i can create a download link without the data page, please?
please send a temporary wp-admin login info to support@wpdownloadmanager.com, support team will check the issue
Ok i checked – it’s does not interfere with normal lightbox, but there’s another problem – WPDM colorbox does not work on link templates – only with page template on thumb_gallery, nowhere else :\
Besides it’s pretty “weird” to use two different plugins of this type, i would really like to stick with my normal lightbox.
I found my old post, then i was asking about similiar thing:
Few questions about WDM Pro
will it work same way, if lightbox will use class? If yes – then can you check line, where i need to add that class? I checked that file already, but structure is different, i found code i modified before, but not sure if it will work now, as it’s custom post type now.
Thanks in advance.
yes, the links show fine on that page, but when i tweet to download i get a 404 and nothing is downloaded. did you test the actual download?
package & download category slugs are set to default in wpdm settings (download & downloads). i am not using ‘download’ or ‘downloads’ as slugs anywhere else in wordpress.
no matter what page the downloads are shown on, tweet/like/+1 to download does not work – takes me to 404 and nothing is downloaded.
It wasn’t ready when I posted but I can confirm that it solved the issue.
I’m confused. I created a custom link template. When I go to Downloads > Templates, I see my custom link template and the template ID listed for my custom link template is: 52f2603ba5898. This is the same template ID I’m using in my shortcode.
I’m sorry to keep asking for clarification, but this is really confusing…
Yes, template id is wrong 🙂
You need to set id by name, you can find all templates in /download-manager/templates/ – for example if page template file is link-template-bsthumnail.php then id name is link-template-bsthumnail, so at end it will be:
[wpdm_category id="frequently-accessed" template="link-template-bsthumnail"]
You can also check id names in WPDM template editor(it’s even more simple, than way i mention above).
Hope it helps.
4.0.4 already available for download, please download it from your order details page.
We have fixed the issue in v4.0.4, please update to v4.0.4 🙂
So I am now starting to get to grips with how this plugin works, What I would like to ask is if you look at the attached screen shot you will see information thats posted about the download file, is there anyway of removing this information? and just have the main information of the package, and then the download links?
TIA
Danny
Hi all,
where can I find the v. 4.0.4 download link ?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I am creating a very simple download template:
[icon][download_link]
Now I just need to get the download to open in a new browser window.
How do I specify this?
Hi,
I tried to upgrade from Download Manager to Download Manager Pro today, however I’m running into some sever problems so for now I had to roll back back on the free version.
The data import looks like it worked, however instead of showing download links a the wpdn category code appears
The button “Download Manager: Insert Package or Category” has disappeared and thus it is impossible to include or update a link within a page, the short link is not visible anywhere else.
I’ve installed the following files from you: download-manager-4.0.3.zip and wpdm-m2cpt.zip.
Please advise what to do. If we can’t get it to work I would need to return the license.
Thanks
P.
hi there !!
after upgrade from 3.3.8 to 4.03 i´ve a problem with the link templates.
i´ve created one new link template to be used in the download packages.
when i choose inside a new download package the new link template
it will not be saved. instead it jump to the “with mp3 preview”.
what can be done?!
cheers, tom
Can you provide a link to an earlier version so I can at least get the downloads to work on my website?
Thanks, Shaon. I’ve created the link template with your above code and called it ‘File List’. It has the ID of 52f0b563f3d46.
Next I went into the package and changed the link template to ‘File List’. The problem is when I update the page/package, the link template reverts back to ‘with MP3 preview’. I can switch to any of the other templates, but not ‘File List’ that I created.
I checked on the page where I want the file list to appear and it just displays ’52f0b563f3d46′.
Any ideas where I’m going wrong? I’m using v4.0.3 of the plugin.
EDIT
The only way I could get it working was to create a new link template in \plugins\download-manager\templates. But I’m guessing this will disappear with each update?
It has been a few hours now. Any update?
