It is an issue , anyhow fixed to for next update which coming within next 2-3 days. but if you want to adjust it right now. please open /download-manager/modules/additional-preview-images.php, go to line #120, replace get_the_ID() with $file['ID']

2) you don’t have to use the button, if you enable form lock for a package and use the package short-code anyhow, you will see the form before download, use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ to generate package short-code.
[wpdm-all-packages] will show such list in tabular format. but if you want to apply the link template, create category ( for example: all downlods ) and assign all packages under the category and use category short-code . btw, you can use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ to generate short-codes.

I added a file field in the form, but the file is not saved as a downloadable, it only shows the file name. This happens in the database and in email (no link to download).
Do I need to configure anything else?

btw, in some rare case facebook like button don’t show in popover, in those case you need to use [download_link_extended] to embed like button in page.
Try it again. I have enabled the Facebook share lock and it doesn’t work. I also can’t seem to figure out how you created the “All Downloads” link on your page. That is what I”m looking for.

I just purchased the upgraded version and created a new package, then added some short code to this page:

Honestly, it looks terrible in my opinion. Double underline links are no good, the text is squashed together and the download is being displayed like it’s going to be a thumbnail grid. The download link doesn’t work and instead pops up with a Share box that has nothing in it and it can’t be removed.
Not thrilled about how much time I’ve put into this to get one simple file downloadable. Please help. Thank you.

A few updates… I figured out 4 things but still need your help with the list below –
1) Archive View –
The short code above works but I have some questions.
[DONE] a) Can I remove that empty first column (which I assume is for featured images)? The icons I selected don’t show up here.
b) Can I get rid of the buttons on top at all?
[DONE] c) Can I change the order of items in archive view to be reverse chrono?
[DONE] d) Can I remove “Size” as an attribute in the view?
[DONE] e) Can I swap “Last Updated” to “Uploaded Date”?
f) The Downloaded variable only shows “times” without any numerical value, even if it is zero.

g) I want to show the author field but can’t find that as a meta (page info or package meta) option. I can use the custom field option but I have no idea how to make it show up in the page or link templates.
2) Category View –
I’m using [wpdm_category id="africa" order_by="create_date" order="asc" item_per_page="3" template="532f733f227c0"] and it’s showing 3 columns.
I just want one column, much like on the archive page but I want ONLY the docs from this category view.

Down load manager Pro, the latest version.
When add files to download manager data base via menu ‘Downloads -> Add New’,
the files are not copied to /path/wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files, but only create soft links.
I prefer this approach.
While, when add files to download manager data base via menu ‘Download -> Bulk Import’,
the selected files ARE COPIED to /path/wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files.
Can we only create soft links here?
It wastes time to copy files.
the individual download will not work for link template when its password protected. but we have enabled the option already for next update which is coming within next next monday.
if you want link template like free version, you can get this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-button-templates/ , many color variation added there, anyhow if you want the add-on , I’ll create a link template for you. not a big deal 🙂

I would like to display the name of the category which contains the package that is showing, right into the link template.
For example:
Title of package – Uploaded in: Title of Category – DownloadLink
Is this possible? The Expo theme has a “In”
But this returns nothing.

ok, we will add close button, anyhow for now if you click on same link again it will close.
(It would be nice to be able to edit more in templates than only by short codes = future request)
This is news to me, that single files don’t register for stats, why may i ask?
I solved it by “hacking” some features with the download links.
