I know that I can do a new link template, and this is what I have done, but around this template and all my downloads, wpdm is putting this two div containers around. and I cant change this. Or I dont know where.

The license key when entered says that it is invalid. I’m wondering why that is? I was using the plugin locally while developing and entered the license key and have removed the license key since I’m migrating to staging and wanted to test in staging. Now when entering the license key, it says that it is invalid. I’m assuming that the license key can be reset, in which if that could be done, that’d be awesome.
Also, one other issue is that the user dashboard urls generated lead to 404 pages.
On the local development site, the logout url is : downloads-dashboard/?udb_page=logout
but in staging the url is : downloads-dashboard/logout
How do I fix the urls being generated? Is this due to the license key? I’ve tried updating all settings in staging, updating permalinks and still all of the logout, profile update, etc… URL’s are resulting in a 404 error.

It may happen if you installed any cache plugin, you need to exclude download link (

You can create new link template as per your requirement from Admin Menu Download Templates

Topic: Download Link Expired
I created a package that contains two jpegs. Then created a page with a button for that package using the tinymce button (shortcode is [wpdm_package id=1577 template="link-template-button.php"]). On my computer, I can go to that page and download the package/zip file just fine. But, some of my clients are complaining that they get a download link expired message. Why is this happening? Thank you!

Problem has started again with expired links. Customers are now complaining that the instant download is giving them expired link.txt There is obviously a bug in the software somewhere, I have currently had to turn off the email lock so it works but this means I am no longer capturing data which makes the plugin pointless.
There must be an obvious reason for it, I cannot be the only user that has had this problem.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The “Download File” link is coming due to audio tag conflict with other plugin, however, you can resolve it selecting other page template like:

I created a package with a link to a dropbox file. The front end page display (3) different download links. The download button under the meta data works fine, but there’s a text link that is white until i hover over it and doesn’t go anywhere and then there’s a small download button next to my file name that also doesn’t go anywhere.

Hi,
Our website has a SSL certificate applied meaning every page is HTTPS. For instance https://www.excellgroup.com/legal-and-terms/terms/ when viewed in Chrome shows the SSL “secure” text and lock new to the url.
Any page that has a WP Download link template on it, for example https://www.excellgroup.com/legal-and-terms/conditions-of-trade/, does not show the secure text next to the URL, indicating the content isn’t secure.
How do I make the the link templates secure?

Download after getting email does not download the file.
Just purchased and installed to our staging site.

I’m cloning my site onto another server. In order to transfer all of my download files and proper linking which tables in the database do I need to move? Also which files in my server do I need to move? I found a folder of download-manager-files which I assume is all of the actual files.. but how can I transfer the actual download posts and meta data?

So when I purchased your product and registered, I got an email with a link to come back to your site and login and there you displayed my purchased items for download. How do I set this up on my site?
I want to set up software downloads for users and when they come and login, they go to their dashboard and see the files available for them to download.
Is this possible with your WPDM Pro or are you suing something else to make it happen?

You can give it a try. I should work, maybe there will be some missing translations. But in those cases English will be used. Translations does not create any issue with site.
By the way, if you want to change the ‘Download’ text in download button you can do that easily from package settings. There is field named
Link Labelwhich is used as button text.Thanks.

Downloads > Subscribers page lists all emails collected through email lock.
Please update the dashboard page to fix the blank page issue. It is related to permalink. You don’t have to change any content , just update the page.

Hi, Please send temporary wp-admin login info in private reply and let me know which download is showing the ‘Undefined’ error. I tried one download from the link, it worked as usual. After submitting an email address it notified about sending mail with download link.

Hello I cannot get the audio player preview to work if the download has a $ amount for sale. The preview player does not work. I’ve used all the short codes and the play button short code but nothing. I also have a audio that is a free download and the preview plays fine on that one.

Hi, the problem can be solved in
WP Super Cache plugin in causes the problem. As all downloads via our plugin are done via a GET request. So I check the option: ‘Don’t cache pages with GET parameters. (?x=y at the end of a url)’ and the downloads are working again.
or
You can try using w3 total cache http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ instead
or
In WP super Cache by setting the Cache Timeout from “WP super Cache” to 1, and then back to 1800.
or
try basically adding\?wpdmdl.*to the list of url strings that force a page not to be cached in Super Cache settings.
or
if you have any cache plugin installed clear cache first. Then go to permalink settings and save it without making any changes.I hope this solves your problem
